Titanic (in 3D)
PG-13
It was ok. And I gave it three stars.
How stupid was I?
That was then and this is now. I'm older, I'm over the whole Leo is hot and thus this is stupid period of my life. When it comes down to it, this is a brilliant and beautiful movie that's likely my generation's "Casablanca".
Yes, it looks visually dated in many ways. Yes the 3D was a little unnecessary; only once did it really benefit and at that moment I gasped! Yes, the story is weak and upon thinking about it, it stops being a POV flashback as soon as the ship hits an iceberg. Yes, it is ungodly long! Ungodly long! And yes, James Cameron is an ass but this is an amazing piece of cinematic work. But when push comes to shove, I'm so glad I finally got to see it on the big screen because I found myself completely enveloped and crying because it was so sad but so beautiful. I loved it!
Mean Girls
PG-13
I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this yet!
I've seen this twice, maybe/kinda three times and while not as fresh as the first time, I haven't seen it enough to remember all of it. It is a really good, smart and clever movie... but what do you expect from Tina Fey! The writing and acting are great, and that's really all there is to it; brilliant acting and writing. Plus so much can be said about the star system looking at this; who has risen and who has fallen. It looks and sound like a teen girl movie, which it is, but it's also so much more! It's quite brilliant!

I love this movie! It has to be my favorite Julia Robert's movie and one of her best movies ever! Plus the supporting cast is great, and the soundtrack is great too!

I loved this movie. One of my favorites and Renee Zelweger's best. She is hilarious! Clearly this is a movie me and Alyson disagree on! How do I LOVE thee? Let me count the ways. One one thousand, two one thousand...
