The Machinist 2003, R)
Really like the idea of the psychological implication of people who's haunted by guilt and regret. The movie comes in a whole tone that can be considered as 'isolation'. Silence. Paranoia. A movie that made me fall for Christian Bale. He really put some real exerts (beside emerging at the shooting location with so many weight loss). There are snippets of my favorite things linked to the scenes: Trevor reading book (The Idiot by Dostoevsky), Trevor saying lines (used in Manic Street Preachers track Peeled Apples), all of that. |
