The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe
One of my favorite movies of all time!!!
2
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire 2005,  PG-13)
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
If only the Qudditch World Cup had been longer! They did do an amazing job with the tasks though.
3
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban 2004,  PG)
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
This one had the best hair for Harry and Ron. Though I don't like a few of Hermione's lines, Gary Oldman did a phenominal job.
4
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets 2002,  PG)
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Hermione's hair was the best in the movie. And to my favorite character: Go Ginny!
5
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone 2001,  PG)
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
One of the best of the series for book to movie. I like how it has that feeling of "light".
6
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl 2003,  PG-13)
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
The better of the two that I have seen so far. As with most fantasy/action movies, the music is to die for!
7
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King 2003,  PG-13)
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
The best of the three. I absolutely love the final battle!
8
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest 2006,  PG-13)
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
A good movie as well but not quite as amazing as the first. But the more I watch it the more I like it.
9
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers 2002,  PG-13)
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Not quite as amazing as the third but still brilliant. The battle at Helm's Deep is my fav!
10
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring 2001,  PG-13)
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
There is such great cineamatography in all of these films. Just because it's longer doesn't make it boring one bit.
11
Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End 2007,  PG-13)
Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End
My definite favorite of the three!
12
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix 2007,  PG-13)
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
My favorite of all the movies to date! You have to think of them as seperate from the books and although that's harder for me, I think they did a great job with what they could sanely manage. The battle between Voldemort and Dumbledore was amazing! I can't wait to see it again.
13
Chocolat 2000,  PG-13)
Chocolat
Always have some chocolate with you when watching this movie. Beautiful scenery, amazing music and wonderful acting.
14
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian 2008,  PG)
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
There is just something so special about these movies! There's too much to say about it, so I'm going to focus on the fact that they did an amazing job giving each character their own time to shine. Working with five main characters is never easy.
15
Driving Lessons 2006,  PG-13)
Driving Lessons
I absolutely love this movie! It has such heart and all the acting was brilliant. Julie Walters was hilarious.
16
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince 2009,  PG-13)
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
I have never laughed more at one of the Harry Potter films. I love the series to death, but as always, I judge it more harshly than other films, hence the 4.5 star rating. In comparison to anything else, it would be 5. It was great to see Bonnie Wright get to step out and the acting ability of Rupert Grint needs to be acknowledged more. The scene in the cave where Dumbledore is fighting with fire was one of the coolest moments of CGI I have ever seen.
17
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1 2010,  PG-13)
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1
As someone who last read this book about 2.5 years ago, I believe they hit every major part and did it very well. Excellent! I can't wait for Part 2!
18
(500) Days of Summer 2009,  PG-13)
(500) Days of Summer
LoveLoveLove the ending! This movie is so truthful, nothing seems too good to be true. Yet, it doesn't leave you with a depressed feeling. Perfect.
19
Inception 2010,  PG-13)
Inception
A movie that pulls out all the stops AND is excellent at doing it. Wonderfully original.
20
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 2011,  PG-13)
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2
As a movie, this holds up extremely well.
21
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader 2010,  PG)
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
The soundtrack and settings were stunning. I missed having all four Pevensie children in the adventure, but it was still a good film.
