Pan's Labyrinth 2006,  R)
Pan's Labyrinth
Absolutely Amazing. My favourite film of all time. I have already pre-ordered the DVD. Haunting, Disturbing, Beautiful! A very skilfully woven study in when an imagination is the only retreat from a fascist reality. Brilliant!
2
The Shining 1980,  R)
The Shining
A terrifying view on the decay of sanity and family life. Love being torn by a mysterious party. Only Stephen King could be so original!
3
Pulp Fiction 1994,  R)
Pulp Fiction
Tarantino's best film; blending fast humour, gritty dialogue and an absorbing non-linear storyline. One of the best films of the nineties.
4
Apocalypse Now 1979,  R)
Apocalypse Now
Absolutely Incredible, if you have a strong stomach and a big heart. Piercing, haunting and utterly memorable, Brando and Coppola's second grouping is totally unforgettable!
5
Sin City 2005,  R)
Sin City
A Pulp Fiction 2. In Black and White as the pulp fiction novellas were. Gritty, gory and amazing fun!!
6
Reservoir Dogs 1992,  R)
Reservoir Dogs
Incredibly original storykine that can only come from the mind of the budding Tarantino. Hard-Hitting, full of quoteable dialogue and enough memorable scenes to stay with you for years. A great film.
7
A Clockwork Orange 1971,  R)
A Clockwork Orange
A strange, memorable experiance. An earthly satire on England's degenerative culture. Who knows? maybe in a few years, England may be like that.
