Donnie Darko 2001, R)
Dark, beautiful and pure unadulterated genius. If you are a very "black and white" kind of person then you might have a hard time with this movie. It requires somewhat of an open mind. |

Blackballed: The Bobby Dukes Story 2003, Unrated)
This is by far the funniest movie I have ever seen. I watched it hundreds of times, yet it is still as funny as day one. With lines like "my shirt says number 2 because I'm the s**t" how can you really go wrong. |

Full Metal Jacket 1987, R)
The staff sergeant in this movie gives perhaps the funniest speech I have ever heard, if you appreciate crude humour. Stanley Kubrick's interpretation of Vietnam differs from say, "Platoon" because it focuses on the preparation of the war (them train...(read more)ing). What really threw me off was the fact that this was meant to be set in the U.S. mid west. When it was in fact filmed in England...hence the green fields, grass and cloudy weather. A must see if you (like me) love war action movies. |

Manos: The Hands of Fate 1966, Unrated)
Manos actually means "Hands" so this movie is called "Hands the Hands of Fate" lol. So terrible, the worst movie of all time...which is why it is so good. Written by a potato farmer on a super low budget (you would never guess from watching it....I'm being sarcastic). A terrible storyline, terrible acting, the audio is dubbed over the original video so it is all out of sync...yeah it's just plain bad...I'm not joking on this one. |
