Pride and Prejudice 2005,  PG)
Pride and Prejudice
It was a little different from the book, but not in a bad way. This movie is probably the best book adaptation I have ever seen. It makes you fall in love with the characters even more!!
2
Atonement 2007,  R)
Atonement
This movie was brilliant!!! It was full of emotion, and it depicts how tragic war was very well. I loved how they showed different sides of the story and you felt sorry for Briony in the end. All the actors did a great job, and the director, Joe Wright, has a superb vision of the book, which I suspect is brilliant also.
3
Die Hard 1988,  R)
Die Hard
It was a kick-ass movie!! It was definately fun to watch, and see how he got out of different scenarios. Very...........rated R. Bruce Willis is one of my new favorite actors, and I can't believe Snape said a VERY bad word!! And, honestly, how many times can you say the F-word?!?!
4
Gone With the Wind 1939,  G)
Gone With the Wind
It's my favorite movie of all time!! And the book is awesome too!! It has all type of genres in it. It makes me cry in the end. The cast is amazing!! If I could only star in one movie it would be this one!! People will remember this movie for centuries!!
5
Casablanca 1942,  PG)
Casablanca
A true classic. Enough said.
6
Ghost 1990,  PG-13)
Ghost
Definately one of my favorite romance movies. The plot was amazing, and the message of the movie is heart-warming. Whoopi Goldberg was funny and brilliant in this movie, and she deserved her Oscar!!

Up 2009,  PG)
Up
Well done, Pixar!!! Seriously? Can they make a bad movie? It was adorable!!!! It's just a simple enjoyable movie. Not too serious. It sparks your imagination, and makes you wish Paradise Falls actually existed. It has emotional scenes, moments that touch your heart, and it's also very funny. Especially the dogs. I don't care how old you are, go see this movie!!!!!!!

An American in Paris 1951,  G)
An American in Paris
Stunning. The movie is just so beautiful that you just marvel at the dancing. Gene Kelly just soo freakin' talented!! I love France, so I enjoy having had understood some of the talking. The story line is so cliché, but it's still cute. My favorite it part of the movie is, of course, the ending which just a big bang of visually breathtaking dance numbers. The music is fantastic, too. It's just a good ole classic.

East of Eden 1955,  PG)
East of Eden
Inpecable. Tense. Kazan's done it again, and can never go wrong. First movie I've seen with James Dean in it, and he's phenomenal!!!! And not to mention GORGEOUS!!!!! No wonder he's a legend!!!! The movie is moving, and you begin to understand Cal (James Dean), a type of character not really shown back then. It has twists and turns, and is also very powerful. In addition, everybody in the movie gives a phenominal performance. Go see it, if you haven't already!!
10
Psycho 1960,  R)
Psycho
OH MY GOD... This movie is easily the best horror movie ever made!!!!!!!!!!!!! One of my favorite movies ever!!!!!!!!! HItchcock's best film, and the best directing I've ever seen. It's not like his other films, which were more suspenseful and dramatic than scary. This movie is creepy and sick, but in an suspensful, heart-pounding, and entertaining way. The shots and score are great, but what is really amazing is the acting. Anthony Perkins is phenominal as the infamous Norman Bates, an awkward and psychotic man who is the utimate "Mama's boy". The movie has it's twist an turns, and you speculate what's up with his mother, but your not quite sure. Back in the day, this was a controversal film and had many firsts, and that is what I love about it. It's not clean or censored like all the other movies back then were. Everything about this movie is great, and I have too many good things to comment and say about it. If you have not seen this movie, do so immediately!! It's not as outdated as you might think, but beware, you might not take a shower for a couple of days...lol.
