Of all the films I've ever watched, this is the best ever! In my opinion, this version of the classic tale is the best of them all. Kong himself looks better than before, and acts more like a real gorilla than a monster - and that's one of the reasons why you feel more sorry for him near the end of the film. Peter Jackson's idea of having evolved dinosaurs on the island worked superbly. The famous deleted spider pit scene from the original has been remade too! The V Rex (yep, T Rex has evolved) battle is my favourite part of the film, both theatrical and extended. Peter Kackson's done great with this film; apart from Lord Of The Rings, this is PJ's ULTIMATE masterpiece!
A superb film! Dennis Quaid stars as a knight of King Arthur's Old Code who vows to drive dragons to extinction after one in particular, Draco (voiced by Sean Connery), shares half of his heart with an evil king (David Thewlis), making him immortal. 12 years later, Bowen meets - and befriends - Draco, forsaking his duty for friendship. But not even their friendship will stop Einon's tyranny, and as Bowen comes closer to his goal of defeating Einon, he learns the hardest lesson of all about friendships: they don't come without sacrifice.
Jeff Goldblum returns as Ian Malcolm, who is sent with a new set of allies to Site B, the original breeding site for Jurassic Park's dinosaurs, where a mercenary team working for Ingen are planning on capturing the animals and taking them back to the mainland. Although this one doesn't quite have the same impact as the first film did, it doesn't stop it from being a worthy follow-up to the original story. Jeff does very well taking over from Sam Neill as the main protagonist, but once again, the good performances from the actors are overshadowed by those of the film's real stars. With no fences to hold them back, new dinosaurs are allowed to wreak more havoc on the island than before alongside familiar, scaly faces from the last film. The effects used to portray the dinosaurs are as good as ever, and the inclusion of a new dino, a baby T-Rex, helps to prove that even the meanest monster around as a loving, caring side. If you loved watching the first Jurassic Park, you're bound to enjoy this one, too!
Ben Stiller, you've done it again! In this incredible comedy, Stiller stars as a new night guard at The Museum of Natural History in New York. But his predecessors don't mention one little catch: because of an ancient Egyptian curse, EVERY exhibit comes to life at night!! At first, Stiller doesn't know what to make of this, but thanks to a wax figure of Theodore Roosevelt (played by Robin Williams), he learns how to deal with the many exhibits that cause mischief in the museum - a T Rex skeleton that goes against its killer reputation in favour of a cute one; cowboy and Roman mimiatures at war; Atilla the Hun out to tear Stiller apart for no apparent reason; a key-obsessed monkey; a gum loving Easter Island head; and many more! Stiller has his work cut out for him satisfying the many exhibits' many needs, and he must also keep them from being outside at dawn, or they turn to dust! It's a great, funny film to watch, especially with the whole family. Grab a copy of this funny film - you won't be disappointed. With many exhibits in the fim, there's plenty of choice to pick your favourite. Mine's Rexy, the T Rex with the looks of a killer predator, but the personality of a fun-loving puppy dog!
This was the first Alien/Predator film I ever watched. I liked it at first, although now I don't like it as much as the others. The effects on the monsters themselves were great, but we don't really see that much of them compared to the humans. The theatrical version wasn't very gory either; no wonder it was rated 15 in the UK. A good film for AVP fans, but if you're not into this, but still want to see it, I suggest getting the unrated version (or the Definitive Edition if you live in the UK), cos it's much better than the theatrical one.
A superb sequel and the best in the series! If you haven't watched the extended version first, there's summat wrong with you - you learn a lot about the backstory, and how the space colony on the aliens' planet is overrun.
A great film debut for the fastest thing alive! In an adventure that's more faithful to the old games' art style compared to other cartoons before it, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles team up to fight Dr Eggman's fiercest creation ever: Metal Sonic. This film originated in Japan as 2 separate episodes aimed more at teenagers. Most traces of its more grown up origins still remain in the English version, but still it's a superb film! ALL Sonic fans will love this, I guarantee! Nowadays a copy for less than £20 is rare on the British High Street; even on the internet! So if you find a copy of this film for less than £20 anywhere, get it if you can, no questions asked; and say "get stuffed" to the ones costing well over £100 - you won't get your money's worth paying hundreds of pounds for an hour long film!
I've waited a long time to see this, and I can honestly say it's EVERYTHING the first film was meant to be! A master Predator comes to Earth to wipe out a new pack of Aliens that has been unleashed upon Colorado, including the Predalien queen that first appeared at the end of the last film . While the hunter ruthlessly slaughters the acid blooded monsters, and anything else that gets in his way, a group of human survivors have to work fast to escape the town before the military can bomb it. Although it's lost half a star for the lack of lighting, it's still much better than the last one, and gives us what we wanted from the monsters in the first place. If you were disappointed by the first AVP, look no further; this will make up for it!
