Kill Bill: Volume 1
love quentin tarantino's work here...though it deals with vengeance, what i was really after was the action, and quentin did not disappoint me.
8

14
Memento 2000,  R)
Memento
confusing, then brilliant, then ingenuous...

a movie in reverse to get you to the real plot...you will wait from one memory to the next to piece together what really happened...

good, good, good!

17
The Hurt Locker 2008,  R)
The Hurt Locker
i actually really like it...it didn't seem to me that it's a movie, like it's actually happening right in front of me...looked real, felt real...i salute the men in war, given the fact they have to face each day knowing it could be their last...and a bomb squad? it's suicide, Godbless all true patriots
18
The Count of Monte Cristo 2002,  PG-13)
The Count of Monte Cristo
the movie has justified the novel pretty well...i liked the realization that revenge doesn't end as good as one would think, it merely destroys the person doing it...
19
The Exorcist 1973,  R)
The Exorcist
this is the most beautifully made horror movie i've ever watched...beautifully as in morbidly and gruesomely good...i was quite appalled at the masturbation part using a cross; and this is where i first heard all those out the world obscenities...

the spider walk and the sputter of blood from the mouth right after is one i will never forget..overall, perfect horror movie...never mind the sequels, it is here that linda blair really shone with her twisting tortured head ^^
20
Elizabeth 1998,  R)
Elizabeth
brilliant! sent me goosebumps, to think it isn't horrific but historical

The queen changed from a sweet romantic lady into a fierce woman who fought for what she believed in, her kind heart became ferocious as she stood sovereign to all those men around her...a wonderful depiction of transformation, for whatever purpose that is...

cate blanchett shone here, i'm speechless
21
Avatar 2009,  PG-13)
Avatar
clearly depicts the reality that men has this insatiable and natural, evil desire to destroy and to try owning even the things that don't belong to them...

the movie is beautiful in a way that it again showed the fact that the good never fails to win; that battles fought with purity of the heart and soul end in victory...

to eywa, which in a way represents the Creator, it's true that He hears, and He goes always to the righteous, for He is it...

to the visual effects: wow, how in the world did the makers do that? brilliant and entertaining...beautiful..
22
Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind 2004,  R)
Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind

this is just an absolutely stunning, beautiful masterpiece...i'd remember this for the rest of my life, if that isn't saying too much...if that isn't the ending point of love i don't know what it is...
