Filled with strong scenes, characters and cinematic elements, the film isn't like its brackets-- Mean Streets and Taxi Driver-- but is rather the cool relief needed between the two. Considering the success of Mean Streets and Taxi Driver, it's overlooked, but unfortunately so.

A giant of the science fiction genre in league with Metropolis, 2001: A Space Odyssey and Blade Runner. Combining the elements of classic horror in its slow pacing and assaults with the high fantasy of young Ridley Scott filmmaking, the film demands nothing other than greatness.
