American Beauty 1999,  R)
American Beauty
What isn't perfect about this movie? The script? The cast? The criticisim? The humour? The music? The cinematography? Mena Suvari's tits? Everything is just amazing. I specially love Spacey's character, but also all the rest (except for Annette Benning's...); they're all so vulnerable. Chris Cooper is breathtaking in the ending. One of the very few movies I consider perfect. The plastic bag thing is not that great though, that's true.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street 2007,  R)
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
Probably Burton's best work -as The Nightmare doesn't count as his but Henry Selick's. Perfect colour, perfect cast, perfect effects, not perfect but very good music. Hypnotic. Wonderful if you are a fan of Burton's dark films, as this sums up Sleepy Hollow and The Corpse Bride for instance, and adds grandguignolesque elements that make it darker and that I love.
7
The Elephant Man 1980,  PG)
The Elephant Man
For me, the most beautiful movie ever, just as beautiful as its main character.
8
WALL-E 2008,  G)
WALL-E
Absolutely awesome. I'd never felt what I've felt while watching Wall·E at a theatre. The kids will like the robots and the jokes, that are very funny, but this is not a movie for children, it's a breathtaking love story, the best way to criticize our society (fuck An uncomfortable truth) and the proof that life is worth living. No less. The best animation movie ever and one of the best movies ever in general. Just watch it.
