the colour in the movie is one big issue!! base on many earth colour tone, but using bright colour on focus character and objects, the contrast make the images so strong and focus point really jumps up to eyes. really visually made.

my favourite for all the time! story is simple really but combines it with all those songs, setting, the colours and the costume, this is just amazingly great!! Baz Luhrman's playing with visual, imagination in it. postmodernity of remixing the classic songs. everything is just great in that!!

Baz Luhrman is really creative to use such visionary shooting way, slow motion, 360 degree, sounds effect brings two scenes together. traditional english lines in modern background, make it kind of surreal. making this nice story even better!!

Echoes of the Rainbow (Sui yuet san tau) 2010,  Unrated)
Echoes of the Rainbow (Sui yuet san tau)
it's basically a perfect made. very touching and sad story about the 60s life in hong kong. the reality of the setting is so great with the matching great music. everyone is acting nice and bringing surprise in this film. Simon Yam let his typical manly police role off and turn himself as a lower-class hard working dad which no-one ever imagine. Sandra Ng also create a new image of the caring mother. Aarif Lee is doing so nice as a new actor. Alex Law made his childhood story comes alive and touch everyone in hong kong no matter if they live from the 60s. it's a film for everyone.
