Funny, Scary, and very unconventional! Loved it!

12
Point Break 1991,  R)
Point Break
A fun adrenaline ride that was wonderfully crafted into a truly unique cop thriller.
13
TRON 1982,  PG)
TRON
This movie, while not as entertaining as you might hope, is a true visual masterpiece.
14
Mortal Kombat 1995,  PG-13)
Mortal Kombat
Not so great acting, cliche plot, but the special characters and special effects make this B movie an odd classic.
15
RoboCop 1987,  R)
RoboCop
Loved every second of this unconventional sci-fi cop thriller that delivers a solid plot with a few well placed twists, slick violence, and superb acting throughout!
16
Aliens 1986,  R)
Aliens
Excellent sci-fi thriller with not only top notch scares, but pulse pounding action, and acting so terrific you'll really feel it when you're forgetting to breath because you just as freaked out as the characters in the movie.
Sigourney Weaver really packs a punch with her role as Ripley in this movie, one of THE best sci-fi movies EVER.
17
Terminator 2: Judgment Day 1991,  R)
Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Great movie. Best of the saga, really shows that Arnold has a human side, even though he's a robot! Great plot, stunning action sequences, and very powerful acting. This is a must see, holds up well even under today's scrutinous eye.
18
Predator 1987,  R)
Predator
While its one of Arnold's best macho action movies, it also pleases horror and sci-fi fans with layers of suspence and terror and a very well crafted alien hunter that still shocks and thrills audiences today.
19
Dune 1984,  PG-13)
Dune
Incredibly misunderstood, this is a work of art, not really trying to be completely cohesive. It is stunning in acting and special effect, while it does have a few over used cliche's weighing it down, and some choppy plot direction. But all in all it is a very very engrossing movie.
Not a thrill ride, but a movie that captures the imaginations and engrosses you in a very complex world that you desperately want to see more of.
20
Starship Troopers 1997,  R)
Starship Troopers
This movie has unconvincing acting, paper thin plot, over the top violence, and amazing alien designs. I LOVED IT! Its the ultimate high quality B-Movie.
The acting is thin on purpose, the characters are supposed to be juvenile, its a coming of age, military movie. I love all the action scenes and amazing galactic starship scenes, these reasons alone are why this is enjoyable ENTERTAINMENT, nothing more.
21
The Matrix 1999,  R)
The Matrix
By far one of the most imaginative action movies and engrossing sci-fi movies I have seen. While it doesn't hold the grandeur of Blade Runner, or the respect it deserves from its viewers, The Matrix is the best blend of a great story with amazing fight sequences, it had me picking my jaw off the floor by the end.
The media unnecessarily immortalized it, but viewers would've done this anyways because the Matrix is a modern classic that deserves all the hype and all the special treatment its been getting.
