Last Life in the Universe 2003, R)
An amazingly inspirational movie about a suicidal Japanese, fastidious, librarian, man's strange love affair with a messy Thai prostitute. Very funny, if the plot sounds a bit random please don't be worried it DOES make sense and isn't hard to follow / understand. This is the only Thai film i've ever seen but on this basis I'd love to see more. |

Do I like this for the movie or the memories that come with it...? This proves that 2 guys and a girl just can't work! Honestly this is a GREAT if slightly over-sexed coming of age movie. A good bittersweet twist at the end as well. One to watch more than once. |

Donnie Darko 2001, R)
Strange thing to say about a movie but the 1st thing that really impresses me about this is the AMAZING soundtrack and use of 80's music. A film of OUR generation (if you have a Donnie Darko poster on your wall you are tres cool!). You have to watch this film. |
