Absolutely LOVE this movie. Chris O'Donnell with an Irish accent. What more could I ask for. Thank goodness they made his character alot more sympathetic than in the novel. Jack Fooley is actually a cheating jerk in the book.
I've seen several stage versions of the show but the movie is definately my favourite. The combination of modern (for the '70s) and historical setting/costume/props gives it an otherworldly timeless feel in my opinion.
I think this movie really struck a cord with me because I could see alot of myself in Janeane Garofalo's character. It's just an ejoyable light hearted movie.
