Wow...
This movie totally blew me away! Awesome script! Brilliant cinematography , memorable performances of the actors (specially Selton Melo).
It´s a shame a movie like this one is ignored by the critic and public.
I´m really impressed with this movie and i´m dying to put my hands on the graphic novel! Without a doubt the best graphic novel movie ever made (Batman Begins and Sin City... Sry guys!), and maybe one of the 10 greates movies of all time.

Clearly the most moving sci-fi film of all time. More than that, maybe one of the greatest movies ever made. I already watched this movie like 6-10 times... Simply brilliant!

Have you ever really loved someone?
We have to ask this question after seeing The Fountain.
On Pi and Requiem, Aronofsky pursuit obsession. Obsession for knowledge and meaning, obsession of the addiction. Here, the visionary director dive himself again on obssesion. The obssesion of a soul. The obssession of a heart. The obssesion for love. It´s not a film for everybody. It´s own nature is very particular and Aronofsky is selfish in his storytelling. You have to open your heart to watch. To enjoy this sublime and metaphorical message
of love, death and specially of life. Maybe it´s not that easy to love and accept this film... But it´s not easy to accept its message either. To embrace the end, to understand and love the death... To enjoy her nature of rebirth...
The Fountain is one of that reasons that i watch movies.

Não se pode deixar de fazer esta pergunta depois de assistir "A Fonte da Vida".
Em "Pi" e "Requiem para um Sonho", Aronofsky perseguiu a obsessão da mente. A obsessão pelo conhecimento e significado, obsessão pelo vício e prazer.
Aqui, o visionário diretor mergulha novamente na obsessão. A obsessão da alma. A obsessão do coração. A obsessão pelo amor.
Não é um filme para todos. Seu ritmo é cadenciado e melancólico. Sua própria natureza é bastante particular e Aronofsky é egoista no seu modo de contar a história. Não há concessões didáticas. O jovem diretor não pega o expectador pela mão e o guia através de seu roteiro rebuscado. É preciso um coração aberto para o assistir e compreendê-lo, para saborear esta sublime e metafórica menssagem sobre amor, morte e especialmente vida.
Talvez não seja tão fácil amar e aceitar este filme... Mas porque não é fácil aceitar sua mensagem. Abraçar o fim, entender e amar a morte... Apreciar sua natureza de renovação e renascimento...
"A Fonte da vida" é uma daquelas razões para se continuar assistindo filmes.

If there´s a man among us who can film poetry, this is Ki-Duk Kim. Just like "Spring...", Bin-Jip (3 Iron) is a deep and gripping tale about love.
You will not found a conventional story here, instead Bin-Jip delivers an extremely engaging metaphor.
A work of art in every single shot.
