Avatar: The Last Airbender: Book 3 2007,  Unrated)
Avatar: The Last Airbender: Book 3
The best animated series ever. The character plots are so intricately woven together that the whole picture just blows you away.
2
The Dark Knight 2008,  PG-13)
The Dark Knight
The best Batman movie yet. Great acting, great script. The serious tone present throughout the movie will grip you till the very end. Gotham City reflected the real world society very closely and the characters were realistically portrayed.
3
Anastasia 1997,  G)
Anastasia
Breathtaking visuals and backdrops. Watched this when I was little. The fact that I can still remember the plot and can rewatch this several times shows that it is truly a Disney masterpiece.
4
Tangled 2010,  PG)
Tangled
Stunning visuals, a well-developed plot, an interesting cast of side-characters. An old fairytale come alive that sets the standard for other animated fairytale movies. An excellent treat for all ages.
5
Shrek 2001,  PG)
6
X-Men 2000,  PG-13)
X-Men
It's a dream come true. Watched it and loved it. Wolverine & Rogue rocked! :)
7
Mulan 1998,  G)
8
Ice Age 2002,  PG)
9
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe 2005,  PG)
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe
A thrilling fantasy world that you won't want to return from.
10
X2: X-Men United 2003,  PG-13)
X2: X-Men United
Great action & suspense with a darker plot. The invasion of the institute was a plus point, but I kinda lost interest in the Jean's story arc. I'm not a fan of hers.
11
Shrek 2 2004,  PG)
12
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone 2001,  PG)
13
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban 2004,  PG)
14
X-Men: First Class 2011,  PG-13)
X-Men: First Class
It turned out better than I had expected. Staunch comic book fans may not like the inaccuracies in the adaptation, but personally, it did not bother me that much because the plot was interesting in itself (although I'm still wondering how the scriptwriters could screw Alex up and turn him into Scott's father). However, if you're not an X-men fan, you might want to read up about Charles Xavier (Professor X) and Erik Lensherr (Magneto) before watching the film. It was reassuring to see some familiar characters. Love the cameos (although extremely brief) by Wolverine, young Cyclops and young Storm. I didn't really like Mystique here though.
15
Batman Begins 2005,  PG-13)
Batman Begins
Having watched all the old Batman movies several times, I think that Christian Bale fitted into Bruce Wayne's shoes best. Batman Begins was impactful mainly because the themes in the movie were the darkest and most mature compared to the past Batman movies. Though Batman Begins was a little confusing due to the constant flashbacks, the story plot was well developed and very elaborate, making the origin of Batman a sensible one.
16
Iron Man 2008,  PG-13)
Iron Man
Robert Downey portrayed Tony Stark pretty well. Awesome special effects.
17
Fantastic Four 2005,  PG-13)
18
Puss in Boots 2011,  PG)
Puss in Boots
A great Zorro-like tale with sufficient backstory to hold its ground. Could have been better if the ending tied in with Puss' intro in Shrek or if there were Shrek cameos.
19
Rush Hour 1998,  PG-13)
20
Rush Hour 2 2001,  PG-13)
Rush Hour 2
A fun and enjoyable ride as usual. Jackie's awesome moves and Chris' wisecracks make a great action-comedy. The chemistry between these two actors is like magic. I can watch the Rush Hour series many times and not get tired of it.
21
Rush Hour 3 2007,  PG-13)
Rush Hour 3
Although pretty much what I expected from the Rush Hour series, the cheesy jokes still make me laugh. The story plot had some twists in them, but was mainly quite predictable. Compared with the previous installments, the stunt choreography may not be as complex or fancy, but it is still good. Fun comedy action that's still enjoyable on the whole. Anyway, here's the main differences between the Rush Hour movies so far: Rush Hour - America, Rush Hour 2 - China, Rush Hour 3 - France. In a nutshell, Rush Hour 3 is like a mix of Taxi 3 (which, coincidentally, is a French movie), vulgarities, political humour, sexual references, etc.
22
Men in Black 1997,  PG-13)
Men in Black
The humor was great! Cool action scenes too. Sad ending, though.
23
Men in Black II 2002,  PG-13)
Men in Black II
I'm glad that the movie picked up from where it left off, helping Kay regain his memory. It was hilarious that Jay took charge over Kay.
24
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian 2008,  PG)
25
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets 2002,  PG)
26
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer 2007,  PG)
27
X-Men: The Last Stand 2006,  PG-13)
X-Men: The Last Stand
A pretty weird ending. Scott's end was a big mistake. There was great action as usual, but a lack of screentime for every character. Gambit should've been in this movie.
28
Thor 2011,  PG-13)
Thor
To the harsh critics, "Nay!" I say. Sure, the movie has some misses, but it definitely has some hits as well.

The CGI and special effects were great and the backdrops were beautiful, but one of the sets which I didn't like looked awfully familiar (probably reused The Last Airbender fire nation ship corridors to cut costs, I'm guessing).

Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman were excellent choices for their respective roles, but Portman wasn't given as much dough to knead. I'm not thoroughly convinced of their starcrossed-lovers romance since there was not much development evident.

That aside, the plot (I liked the father-son & jealousy themes) was better and humanly relatable but I was slightly disappointed by the less-than-epic battle scenes. Nonetheless, I loved Thor's Norse-ly dialogue ("This mortal form grows weak! I require sustenance!") and Darcy's witty lines ("This is so going on Facebook!) - she should have been given more interaction with Thor.

It's not a perfectly accurate account of Thor's origins, but overall, I liked the movie.

Ice Age 2: The Meltdown 2006,  PG)
Ice Age 2: The Meltdown
Not as good as its earlier film in terms of plot and heart. Too much time wasted on Scrat the wallflower.
