The one that started the whole slasher genre (sorry, 'Black Christmas', but it's true), and still holds up as one of the most suspenseful, scary flicks of all time. A true classic in every sense of the word.
Rob Zombie didn't just make a 70's style movie...he made a 70's movie, flat out. Slays me with it's violence, brutallity, and beauty all at once. Had it not been for this movie, I can guarantee you that QT and RR would not have made 'Grindhouse'.
It's not only a fantastic comedy, and it's not only an amazing homage to the horror genre. It's actually a fantastic horror film in it's own right, and there are even parts with genuine emotion (I actually cried a little in spots the first time I saw it). The "Spaced' team knocks it out of the park and creates a perfect horror-comedy.
An amazing experience. This was the first movie I saw that, when it ended, I set the DVD player right back to the first track and watched it again immediately. I could go on about Memento for hours, but instead I'll just say this: If you have not seen Memento, do so without delay. Run, don't walk, to the nearest store and just buy it now. You won't be sorry.
One of the most underrated comedies ever, and one of my favorite comedies of all time. Watch for Jason Bateman and Christina Applegate steal every scene they're each in.
After seeing Casino Royale, I literally cannot go back and watch any of the old Bond films. I have tried, but this one sucks the wind out of all the rest. Here's hoping Daniel Craig's career as 007 continues to be as great as this movie is.
Truly, there is no other movie like this in existence. One of the most original concepts to come along in just about forever. Shooting a comic book panel for panel in live action...just brilliantly done.
One of the greatest stand-up comedy shows of all time. If you haven't seen it, do not walk. RUN to your DVD player and put Dress to Kill in it RIGHT NOW.
Just awesome. Had the same impact on me that Memento did: The ending came, my jaw dropped, I mulled it all over for a minute, and I just wanted to watch it again immediately.
