I had the opportunity to see this at a special screening two nights ago. And I needed to take the time to digest it. This is a masterpiece that never backs. It challenges you at every step. And I love that. With powerful comments on the effects of capitalism and religion, and how we as humans take advantage of each other. And Daniel Day-Lewis gives one the best performances I've ever seen. He is a ferocious monster. I was frightened and fascinated by his every second on-screen. And the ending will haunt me forever.
