some of the best wit and banter ever captured on film. no one talks like this anymore. it's dry and twisting and unmatched.

11

Trainspotting
simply brilliant. excellent cast (of unknowns, at the time). great music. bizarre vision and an emotional rollercoaster with some of the best, twisted funny bits that make it highly quotable.
12
Aliens 1986,  R)
Aliens
best of the lot. james cameron is big but contained. does the only thing you could do to improve from the first one: send in hundreds of the nasty bastards. well cast.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail
simply: brilliant. the best python film and python-cast film. endlessly quotable and fun on 30 times repeat viewing
14
Rear Window 1954,  PG)
Rear Window
in my opinion, given the physical constraints of one set, and a guy in a wheelchair, hjitchcock creates a masterpiece within the confines. excellent cast and perhaps his best man-woman relationship problems in character with grace kelly and jimmy stewart.
