This is by far the best of the modern Samurai movies that I have seen. Superb acting and directing, winning best actor, best supporting, and best director. I highly recommend to anyone who likes a great samurai flick
Kurosawa meditates on the nature of Power, Illusion and Reality with deft strokes of his painters brush. Power-house performance from Nadakai! This movie was produced by George Lucas and Frances Ford Coppola.
Harvey Keitel is great in this study of honor set in nineteenth century Europe. Keith Carradine generally irritates me, but does a passing job here. Ridley Scott's first major.
