This movie makes me cry every time, but the character of Sara Crewe inspires me to no end. Her optimism, though not all-over unfailing, is a light I don't see very often and want to follow and hold on to. It also makes me want to go to India... The Indian manservant is my favourite character in all. What really bugged me about A Little Princess, though, was that her father -- who loved Sara to absolute BITS -- never planned for this if it should happen. He was a wonderful father to her but I dislike his character a little after realising this, he's a little careless and Sara really paid the price for it. |
