Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows PG-13
This sequel to first Guy Ritchie Sherlock Holmes is on par with the original. Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law are back and are both still excellent in their roles of Holmes and Watson. This time they must take down Professor James Moriarty and his scheme to start a world war and profit from it. The story is excellent and has a great pace to it. I really enjoy this take on the Sherlock Holmes and Watson characters. I have read all the Holmes novels and have seen many other movies and television shows featuring Holmes and Watson and must say Robert Downey Jr. is one of the best to portray Holmes. Downey's version of Holmes is only second to the late great actor Jeremy Brett. Jude Law though is my all time favorite portray of Watson. Director Guy Ritchie brings his unique style to the Holmes Victorian world. He also brings the audience explosions, slowed down fight sequences that are fun to watch and a story that keep the audience engaged through out the film. I really enjoyed this sequel. If you enjoyed the original then you have to check this out. Well worth a watch.
White Irish Drinkers White Irish Drinkers R
This movie is set back in 1975 Brooklyn, NY. We the audience follow two teenage brothers who live with a drunk abusive father and their caring mother. Of course they are a poor family and have struggles to make the bills. The older brother Danny is in to crime and is the regular one to get beat by his father. While the younger brother Brian is trying to find his place in the world and decide if he will leave Brooklyn and his family to study as a artist . The story also has some others parts to it that fill in the rest. The story is quite well done and makes for a interesting drama. The biggest names in this film is Karen Allen and Stephen Lang. But they are not the main focus of the film. That goes to the young actors Nick Thurston, Geoffrey Wigdor and Leslie Murphy. All the young actors are excellent in this. The story and main characters are very interesting. I also liked the way the movie was filmed. Had a great look to it. If your looking for a decent drama then check this out. Well worth a watch.

Raiders of the Lost Ark (Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark) Raiders of the Lost Ark (Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark) PG
The best movie ever. Action, comedy, adventure, romance. Can't go wrong. Still stands up to action movies today. A classic. My number one film pick of all time. Harrison Ford is excellent as Indiana Jones. I could not see anyone else playing this role. Steven Spielberg directs a classic. Plus one of the greatest movie soundtracks ever by composer John Williams. This film has it all. A must see for everyone. A classic.
Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope PG
One of the best Sci-fi movies out there. Still a classic. One of my all time favorites. This was one of the first films I saw as a child. Right from the begining to the end I never have got bored watching this film over and over. From the classic characters Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, R2-D2, C-3PO, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Princess Leia, Darth Vader have always been some of my favorites since I was a child. This set the bar for future Sci-fi films and how movies are made today. By far George Lucas best directed film. Plus the musical score alone is what helped make the film as well. John Williams in my eyes is the greatest composer for film. Plus the special effects still stand the test of time. One of the best movies ever made.
