Not to say it isn't serious, but cancer is something that becomes more and more common everyday, to the point that almost anyone has been neart it some time. ''50/50'' doesn't full-on go for laughs, but it does find a charming balance between the gutwrenching sadness and the sweetness of the people around you that cheer you up. Everyone in the cast deserves credit for their wonderful performances, and Will Reiser's script stupendous, human and real (not only do you identify yourself with these characters and this situation, there's also the reality of being based on Reiser's own experience).

I can't picture anyone not having fun with this movie. It's so energetic and colorful, with jokes firing off constantly, constant sight gags and self-referential humor. The main characters remain as loveable as they have always been, with Jason Segel, Amy Adams and Walter also bringing everything they've got.
It's incredible how watching the film you can forget that they're-- I don't even like saying it, it sounds so hurtful, but you so easily forget that they are puppets because you truly connect with all of them (That's so cheesy to say, I know. But c'mon, LOOK AT THEM. THEY'RE SO CUTE).
It really is a testament to their talent how much we can overlook, and how silly and ridiculous we allow things to get, because of how much effort everyone involved gave into putting on this show.
