Mamma Mia! 2008,  PG-13)
Mamma Mia!
This is such a fantastic movie! Absolutely brilliant! I declare it my new favourite movie. The cast is awesome, set is wonderful, story is a classic. My highlights included Meryl Streep's 5 star performance, Colin Firth's humour, Pierce Brosnan in a wet shirt & who could forget the old goat house. This movie is a must see!!!

The Wedding Singer 1998,  PG-13)
The Wedding Singer
One of my favourite flicks - I <3 the 80s. Adam & Drew show they have wonderful chemistry & that's a joy to watch. Many heartwarming moments, much funniness & loads of 80s memories (get out of my van halen tshirt before you jinx the band & they break up!) - the soundtrack is gorgeous.
3
Practical Magic 1998,  PG-13)
Practical Magic
Another of my most favourite movies ever. The climactic scene towards the end is very touching & always chokes me up. A delightful portayal of witchcraft as a natural & benevolent way of life which is refreshing.

Anchorman - The Legend Of Ron Burgundy 2004,  PG-13)
Anchorman - The Legend Of Ron Burgundy
This movie is so hilarious! Some of my fav quotes: "I love lamp" "I'm important, I own many leatherbound books" "Where'd you get those clothes? The toilet store?" Oh and the Afternoon Delight montage is classic! This is my type of humour ~ LOVE IT!!

13 Going on 30 (Suddenly 30) 2004,  PG-13)
13 Going on 30 (Suddenly 30)
This is called "Suddenly 30" in Australia & is one of my favs. Jennifer Garner is totally believable as a 13 year old in a 30 year old's body. Mark Ruffalo is great. The whole concept of going back to your teens is one that appeals to me. LOVE IT! The 80's ROCKS!

Sione's Wedding (Samoan Wedding) 2006,  Unrated)
Sione's Wedding (Samoan Wedding)
These 'duck rockers' are hilarious! Seriously, they are! I almost choked on my popcorn laughing at this movie! Shimpal Lelisi is hot in this movie I reckon - hehe. Don't tell Sarah but I actually cried at the wedding reception. If you liked this flick, get your hands on The Naked Samoans tv show 'BroTown' - real funny speshly if you're kiwi.

The Pursuit of Happyness 2006,  PG-13)
The Pursuit of Happyness
A beautiful, heart wrenching story of hope & never losing that dream...no matter how impossible things seem to get. For some reason I can't quite explain, Will Smith's characters always either make me laugh so hard or cry my eyes out! He is awesome in this film & I just love him, always have, always will. Lil man Jaden was such a cutie too! I cannot even begin to comprehend the struggles Chris Gardner went through although I admire his absolute steadfastness in staying by his son's side, why the mother left, well, there just is no excuse. No matter how hard things get, you just don't up & leave. Loved this movie, loved it!

A Walk to Remember 2002,  PG)
A Walk to Remember
I just watched this movie this week after not seeing it for a few years, & yes, I cried as much as I did the first time I saw it! This is a touching story that wanders from the typical 'teen' movie & I admire these two young actors for taking part in such a beautiful story.

Paradise Lost - The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills 1996,  Unrated)
Paradise Lost - The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills
Well, where do I start? After seeing this doco, I have thought about the West Memphis Three A LOT!! I have come to follow this case with deep interest & have read as much as I could get my hands on about this case (book, websites & blogs, articles). This doco is about 3 young guys sitting on Death Row for a crime which they did NOT commit! Because they wore black & listened to Metallica & were seen as 'different' in the society they lived in. Seriously, I urge you to watch this film & get behind these guys! They have been sitting in prison for 14 years now & it's just WRONG!! When this world comes to it's senses, these guys will walk free & those redneck cops behind this botched case will have MAJOR egg on their faces.

Paradise Lost 2 - Revelations 1999,  Unrated)
Paradise Lost 2 - Revelations
The West Memphis Three 5 years on. Since the first doco, some amazing new developments have come to light & are shown in this second doco. HOW is it that these guys are still in prison? I cannot believe the BULLSHIT these rednecks have put these 3 innocent men through! Where is the friggin justice?! America should be ASHAMED for allowing this modern day witch hunt to happen in this day & age!! I am dumbfounded at the STUPIDITY of the redneck pigs in this doco & the American justice system in general! SHAME!

Hot Fuzz 2006,  R)
Hot Fuzz
I really didn't know what to expect when I was recommended this movie but HAHA!! Such a good laugh! this movie is definitely one of my favourites. I quite appreciate the humour, & the acting was top notch. Nothing as funny as a British comedy (cept maybe Anchorman). The gory bits were SO gross but well done & went along with the wry humour throughout the entire movie. LOVED IT!
25
Dogma 1999,  R)
Dogma
Love it - it's hilarious! 'Consequences, schmonsequences!' The cinematics weren't that fab but the story had a great twist and I love the dialogue. Alan Rickman was awesome, his skills are supreme.
26
Romeo + Juliet 1996,  PG-13)
Romeo + Juliet
I really enjoy this film. The dialogue alone sets this film apart from the mainstream which I appreciate. The cinematics are top notch. I also love all the catholic idolism in the sets.
