a martin scorsese masterpeice. this movie is so much more then just a gangster film. i have seen it over a dozen times and still each time is better then the last, even if it is on t.vand its half way threw i find myself watching it. the powerfull voice over by ray liotta just draws you in and grabs hold and never lets go. the first line of the movie is the best peice of dialog in th entire film, prob the greatest peice of dialog i have ever heard and delivered. the first 15 minutes of the movie is the best, as you see young henry, you see him wanting everything that just outside his front window. this isnt your average gangster film, its about wanting something so bad even though it is bad. the way this movie flows and the music that is played to it is donw by only the greatest director that could ever do it. pecsi got his oscar for it even though liotta never even got nominated. this is a close up, in your face kind of movie that shows you the real life story of what man can really do for the world. it is done so cleanly though and not gruisome at all, you really need to pay attention to the dialog just for the little things the characters say. i couldnt find a single thing wrong with this movie, i know i am praising it so much but thats why.
this movie is one of my all time favorites. this is one of the very few movies where the directing doesnt matter and its just the actors talking, to do so you need to have amazing actors and an amzing script which it did. this movie didnt even need good directing becuase of it. the ben afflecks acting as the best friend who isnt going anywhere and he knows it so well. the scenes when matt damen and robin williams break down and damon crys was so real and raw. robin williams acting was amazing.
Forrest Gump is thee most far out there story ever told, that made it thee greatest story though. tom hanks creates a character that will go down in history as one of the best. The screenplay is just so amazing, the way they sold this movie to you even though all the rediculouse things that happen you still believe it. There are some of the best co star characters in this movie people like jenny, mama, buba and Lt dan. even though forrest is the one you are suppose to feel sorry for u feel more for them then forrest. the side characters to have great stories this movie is like the great amarican novel. the soundtrack plays to forrests life so perfectly. this movie is one of the best movies ever with a string of famous line that will go down in history. this movie captures every historical moment and makes it seem to that forrest himself will become just as inspiring and important.
it was like a fairy tale, but a real fairy tale. you could say it had a happy ending but i wouldn't. this movie was something that we have all been waiting for in a long time and we didnt even know it. it was something we needed.i hadnt seen a good movie like this in a long time. the way it was shot and the story and the acting and the way it was written was like you were in a fairy tale, i felt it even more when daisys daughter was reading the story. the same way daisys grandma read her the story. brad pitt does a role of a life time, for some reason it keep reminding me of tom hanks in forrest gump. i prob never admit it in person because i was trying to be to much of a man but this movie had me almost in tears. the way he gave his life away to his daughter the way there was so much love between benjamin and daisy. in some ways you could say they did grow old togeather. this is one of the greatest stories i have ever heard in all the movies i have ever seen. if it werent for brad pitts acting i dont think i would have felt the way i did. an instant classic. this movie will grow and grow threw the years to one day beging one of the greatest movies ever made, it all ready is in my books. the ending was more perfect then i could ever write. if i could i would give it more then 5 stars. i cant even begin to tell you how much this movie ment to me and how important to us it really is.
This movie has a style of true character story telling, by getting thrown into these characters life mid crissis, to a point where you struggle to love them as there secretes and flaws get unraveled. I really loved this movie. Paul Thomas Anderson is an amazing director and writer. It is an original style that i have never seen before, since then all of his other movies carry this unique tempo of movie making. All of the proformances are great i really enjoyed John C Riley and Philip Syemore Hoffman. This films gets to the point on every level of life its regrets and its disisions as well as the consiqueses of those dissions. With an ending that will shock and amaze you that. PTA has away of speaking to an audince without saying the words. With a mid movie musical scene that left me speakless as well as other ways of movie breaking rules that i have never seen before. I thought this movie made a bold statment and was an amazing peice of cinema!
THE GREATEST SUPERHERO MOVIE EVER MADE. WITH GREAT PROFORMANCES BY EVERYONE. HEATH LEDGER IS THE BEST JOKER EVER HE REALLY GETS INTO THE CHARACTER JUST LIKE BRANDO IN THE GODFATHER AND CHRISTIAN BALE PLAYED AN AMAZING BRUCE WAYNE AND BATMAN. THIS MOVIE IS WAY MORE THEN JUST A SUPERHERO MOVIE.. this has one of the greatest screenplays ever the way he built up all the characters and the world he puts them in. it is a slap in the face that the screen play was not even nominated for a oscar. the dialog was some of the best i have ever seen and it wasnt even that it was all about the joker some of th best lines were given to alfried and harvey. Christopher nolan is a master at his craft and an amazing story teller.
this movie leaves you with an Incomprehensible plot, it makes you think it makes u appresiate the way of movie making by the acting and the intense acting by malcome mcdowel and the amazing writing and directing of stanley kubrick this movie really makes you think and thats what to me is what movies are all about. after all the rape and murder and crimes that a young kid named alex faces, he is sent to a prison were they try to fix him. it turns out succesfull, but afterwords when he sees rape and murder he cant take it this is because the way they changed him was by locking his eyes open and making him watch movie shoots of rap and murder. but what this movie is saying is that you can try to change man all you want but sometime murder and rape and plain old hate is in are nautre and you can never truily change that, when this movie came out everyone judged it saying it was to graphic, but the only thing kubrick did was take real life and put it on screen which what filmmakers try to do every time they make a movie, i gusse by everyones response to the film kubrick succeded. i see it that kubrick is also ahead of are times, this could certainly be the future. the way the kids of todays time act its not long before we are all alex. i think this movie is the harsh reality of what is soon to be and kubrick saw that.
MARLON BRANDO IS THE GREATEST ACTOR EVER, the whole cast does such an amazing job the whole cast deserves an oscar and fancis ford coppala is a genuis.
this movie is thee funniest movie ever made. it is a cohen brothers classic, one of there best. other then fargo and no country. the writting amazing if there is one thing that the cohen brothers do best its writing. john goodman as walter had me laughing till the end same as jeff bridges as the dude, even steve buscemi as donnie. you now you have a great movie when even 10 years after its been made people are still saying the halariouse lines which i do and will for the rest of my life. this isnt even just a comedy about 2 average guys there is so much for to it i recommend if you havent seen it to see it over and over again it gets funner every time i watch it and very few movies have that affect.
Before i saw this movie, i was told it was the greatest film ever made. i thought ya maybe for its day, i thought it was some long boring movie about a polition. after watching it i reliesed how big of a jackass i was. this movie is so amzing, the beging is maybe thee best begging i have ever seen even better then goodfellas. the meaning behind it and the story it is told threw is brilliant. i have never seen such amazing directing and style that orson wells did, movies arent like that anymore. this movie very well might be the greatest movie ever made. orson wells is a master at wrting, directing and acting. if only movies were made like that today. stories arnt even that good anymore. this movie had me amazed.
This is a modern day masterpeice even though it was made so long ago, i thought boris karloff did a good job but what really made me love this movie was colin clives acting he amazed me. the story is so real and is still true in todays time. the dialog for colin clives character is some of the greatest i have ever heard. and the directing is amzazing and better then some stuff today even thought it was made long ago its a masterpeice
The most original movie i have ever seen, a new age that will copy tarrentinos style forever. this move had me dazzeled in every way imaginable. the acting on every part was amazing. the way Tarrentino can play music to his scene is like something i have never sen before, almost like scorsese but fresh and inventive. the writting of this movie is what really attreacted me to it, he can write people like more real then ever before. i laughed and was shocked by most things which is really what i loved about this movie, it was like a real hard hitting original crime film but yet in the tarrentino way makes it not seem like a crime film. i love the directing of Tarrentino in resivoir dogs and pulp fiction. i loved Tarrentio's acting i think out of anyone he did thee best acting job i loved it and the dialog of the character. the story unraveled into a great story that is halarious and shocking. i loved this film
this is quention tarentionos first movie and its just as good as martin scorsese mean streets. micheal madson stoll the movie with his stuck in the middle with you scene. the entire cast delivered to make one of the greatest gangster movies ever made.
Marlon Brando does one of his greatest work in this picture and the chemistry betweeen him and eva saint marie is amzing, Kazans directing is brought the movie to life and Lee J Cobb plays a great villan. the story is amazign and only someone liek Brando could protray a character like this
this movie amazed me it keep me thinking all night, so much that i couldnt sleep. thats why it is in my top five movies of all time. shia did an amzing job and tatum as well he reminded me as young marlon brando but more hardcore, i thought that monty the father was played perfectly. i felt so bad for the relationship of dito and his father. it was so sad and real. it was the kind of movie every great writter trys to write and this writter did it perfectly.i think what made it feel so raw and real was becuase it was a tru story. i thought that at some points they were make it to much like a art film, it works and i loved it but i thought that if it was more contempary and natural it would have felt more real. i thought that rosario dawson did a horriable job with a shitty queens accent and the girl who played a younger her out acted her. robert downey jr was ok nothing as special as shia or tatum. i cant state enough how real this movie is it touched upon real emotions and real life with the realtionship of dito and his father. i loved this movie and if it was more well known theres not a doubt that it would be a classic.
i loved this movie, billy bob thorton played the loser, dumb brother who has nothing so well, it was his greatest proformance since monster ball. bill paxton to played the younger more sucessful brother who has his shit togeather so well. even though these two brothers are so different when it comes down to it there not that different after all. bidget fonda did an amzing job as the wife who wanted it all pushing paxton on to do the wrong thing but teliing him its the right thing. i almost weaped at the end when paxton killed thorton. then ending twist was the greatest ending ever, they diid all of this for nothing for greed, they killed and lied and diseved for money for something as simple as money when life is worth so much more. this movie was so great and the meaning behind it was great. it shows you how far and capable we really are in life and how weak we can really be.
i loved this movie, i was half way threw it and i thought that it was the greatest speilberg movie ever...until the ending. i didnt like how they had dreyuss go on the mother ship so willing. i loved how they had it play into the unknown and the pariniona by dreyfuss character and how he drove himself crazy and his famly away over this unkonw thing. i like how they had made mother ship and the humans make contact threw the colors and sound. i hated how you saw the aliens and how they became like friends with the humans in a sense.i felt that seeing the aliens was just for the true sci-fi fans, which is ok, which i had some fun out of. i thought that at the end the mother ship should have left and the humans would have been left with nothing more then the knowing that there is something else out there and that they made contact. after that i though that dreyfuss should have been driving home and had the feeling of the unknown and the parinoia and that feeling of never knowng and having to live with it. or the mother ship should have taken him well he was driving but he would be so frigtened and scared to go, because just like real life we want to know so bad about the unknow but were so scared of it. i felt that the movie was amazing the special effects dazzled me same as the acting by the entire cast escpessially the little boy and dreyfuss. speilbergs directing was amzing for a few moments and scences of the devils tower you felt like you were watching a cecil B demille film. i loved his directing but found his writting to be weak at the ending. overall i wil give it 5 stars but feel it could be a better movie the way i saw it. even though it is still a classic
this movie was amazing...true entertainment. quentien tarrentino is an amazing writter whn it comes to movies like these. gorge cloney does an amzing job as well as julliet lewis.
this movie a perfect example of art imiating life. its such a raw and real movie about the average person and there family no wonder its called ordinary people, marry tylor moores acting was brilliant as well as timothy huton and donals southerland the ending scene with the father and son even made me cr because there are uch few people in real life have those feeling but never say them, i loved this movie.
this is so much more then a pool movie, paul newmans acting is amzing as fast eddie and jackie gleason as minnesota fats did a gat job and the ending scene with him and newman was the geatest part. Gorge c scott did a great job as well but i liked newman and gleason more
scorsese masterpeice, the score of animals noises and the editing was amazing it changed the movie and made it would it was, scorseses a genius and the slow motion scences in the ring of de niro just made the movie for me.. i love this movie
this movie is great and jack nicholson was amazing and martin scorsese is the best director its so good its next to goodfellas as the best mob movie and jack diserved a oscar nomination but just like any scorses movie he got robed
i love this movie it was so sad cried, the realatonship between the mother and dauhter was s real and i loved it. nicholson did an amzing job. this movie was so moving
i loved this movie. i was half way threw it and i thought it was the greatest eastwood movie ever. then the end came and i hated it. i thought that the movie should have ended with her in the room when she is on the phone looking for her son.i liked how they had christine collins there for the other women but i think that was a different story i thought that they should have had the man beging hung but a empty chair there becuase she nows it doesnt matter what he has to say or what happens to him she will never stop looking for her son. i dont think they should have ever said that her son escape becuase it doesnt matter it doesnt change anything she will still never stop looking for her son. i also thought that the girl in the ward that christine collins becuase friends with should have played angelina jolies character because she looks like shes been threw more like she really is a single parent. angelina looked to perfect like and done up. also you have seen angelina do this role a mllion times, i though the other woman from the ward would have done just as good of a job but make it more real by the way she looked. i loved the detective jones character the actor did the best job in the entire movie i loved it i loved this movie but i would have done it differently.
the wrestler is like a real life story about how things never get better. i loved how in the end there is no resoluton to his life, well not one that they just come out and say but they let you know it you think about it. most movies dont do things like that because most people might not understand it. i felt it was the perfect ending because its just like real life theres no perfect ending and there was no need to show the ending of his life by some drawn out emotional scene like most movies would do to just cash in on you emotions. it says so much even more if you listen to the song at the end, i loved it how it was just a black screen and the music comes on becuase your waiting to see whats next but instead of pictures they tell you by song, which i felt was very creative. i thought that evan reachel woods did an ok job same as marrisa tomei. i like how she was just like randy. she was a old stripper who nobody wants and shes at the end of her carrer and randy new that in some ways they were the same person and they were perfect for eachother. rourke did an amzing job i really felt for him. he created this man who was so mighty and strong but so sad. he had all these issues but he was never weak he didnt resort to drugs and alchol he punished himself by wresteling, he felt he was just giving himself what he disserved which most men arent that strong. the wrestler is a real wake up call for people like that. i like the reasons why he wrestles beside his daughter hating him, you fell like he did it to creat someone else with a different name becuase if you notce he doesnt like beging called robin. so it was like he was escaping reality. i also liked how he was an average joe who had nothing speciial but to the world he was the wrestler and he gave them so much of himslef even though he felt so much pain. and how none of it matters because all he knows and all he feels he nneds to do is wrestl.
a new way of filmaking i have never seen before, stone puts a spin in a scrosese way of directing, all proformances are amazing even cameron diaz which i didnt think would be that good at first. this movie is a goodfellas of sport movies and al pacino and jamie fox are amazing. i cant beleive this movie didnt win or even nominated for and oscars, i think stone diserved a best director and best picture nomination but just like goodfellas it was robed by the academy.
this movie was awsome, you may have thought it was out there and to much phony but i think it need to be like that and it worked and at the same time it rembled the dark knight in the meaning. the begging if the film reminded me of forrest gump. the soundtrack was amazing. i thought the fact that it was rated R made it different and new. we have come a long way since adam west batman. the writting was just amazing same as the acting and directing, billy crudup was amazing as Dr. Manhatton. this movie was like something i had never seen before, the sex stuff at one point i felt like i was watching a soft core porno but i think they need to cross the line to make it different then everything. the movie felt like a joke and i think that the way it was written it was suppose to be like that in some way it made it more real but yet for of a comic book kind of movie. this is one of the best superhero movies i have ever seen. i loved how in away they were just people who carred they werent really superheros they didnt really have any powers. i didnt really like 300 but the directing in this film was amazing.
This movie is an origonal masterpeice that will change cinema forever. this movie is creative and inventive. they way the actors play off of eachothers emotions well there in the miskis of beging terrorised by SOMETHING is perfect. you really beging to get into the movie as you hear stories about the witch from the town people, you feel like a kid around a camp fire getting told a scary story about a witch that kills little kids. then as you beging to hear the noises and see the things and hear the little kids laughing you beging to feel like its not just a story anymore. the ending of the movie is perfect it leaves you with the shot beging unknown but you yourself know what is about to happen. its like the old horror movies its what you dont see what scares you. you to as an audiance begin to lose your mind as the characters do as well because you are just as confused as they are. as they walk for hours and never get any closer neither do you, until the end when as there greatest fear comes true yours does as well, as the movie is shot threw there eyes you become them almost so you feel what they feel. this movie is perfect.
The Jack does one of his best proformances. i loved this movie, his character has so many layers to who he is and what he is looking for and why he just wants to be. Karen black does an amazing job as well you really feel for her and see how pethetic the relationship that she is in. i loved this movie
this is one of hitchocks scariest movie i have ever seen, i do like phsyco more but this is way more scary. the cinemotography of this movie is aazing, the shots of the birds at the school yard and the phone lines are jsut amazing some of the best i have ever seen. tippi hedrum played her role so well but i felt that some of the scence when the birds attack were lacking acting , it would have been more powerful i felt if the ancting was more intense. the sound is the real horror of this movie just listening to the birds squacking whichout seeing them is the scariest thing, as well of the reacting of the little kids when the birds are attacking them.
this movie is so mvoing some of letos acting was perfect i am on the fense about it but a huge fan of this movie and letos acting the voice over just made the movie but some times it came off cartoonis but deserves 5 stars as a movie
i really loved this movie. i loved all the acting brad pitt and billy crudup were great. the first half of the movie was ok, i didnt like some of the way they did things. the one kid was clearly trying to hard to come of as a tough guy and it didnt feel tateral at all. i loved the second half better it was more real. there wasnt any real flow to this movie it seemed like one seen after another, the story wasnt had no flow. the realitonship between minnie driver and brad pitt wasnt shown very well so it made the scene on the train very insinificint. the beging was very good with them as young in the neibourhood but it didnt have the right flow to it, it was scattered and could have been so much more. i didnt like the flashbacks i thought it was unesasry. but still a good movie.
this movie is a animated masterpeice, i always thought that cartoons were for kids but Wall-e is up there wiht the lion king and toy story as some of the best animated movies. this movie is a true look into the future if we continue to carry on wiht the way we are. we will all be fat and living on a different planet because we have trashed earth. this movie reminded me of 2001 spacy odysee, most of the movie is silent as the first half hour there is no talking. also the evil robot who trys to stop wall-e is a red light that reminded me of hal from 2001 space odysee. this movie was amazing. the one thing that animated movies can do is build a relationship between you and the characters and you really feel for wall-e. cartoons are not just for kids, i recommand everyone sees this film old or young.
