The Last Wave
One of Australian screen culture's greatest achievements- most likely buried and overlooked for it's social and political tilt. Poetic, magical and unsettling.

Ten Canoes 2006,  Unrated)
Ten Canoes
A recent triumph for Australian screen culture, this story sees a black fellas' story told in their own language and own distinct style. The 'making of' doco really demonstrates the value and complexity of this production.
5
O Lucky Man! 1973,  R)
O Lucky Man!
Perhaps the greatest film I have ever seen, no segment of society escapes unscathed. Theatrical, poetic, symbolic... this film demonstrated director Lindsay Anderson's deft control of the cinematic and theatrical arts.
6
The Graduate 1967,  PG)

Heatwave 1982,  R)
Heatwave
A shining work of Australian cinema, this superb screenplay explores greed, ambition, fragility and society. It draws inspiration from real life events in Sydney in the 70's enhanced with the artful direction of Phillip Noyce and strong performances from a perfectly cast talent roster.
