2

The Crow
Another one of my absolute all-time favorites. A classic in every sense of the word. A tragic tale that proves love is stronger than death. If you haven't seen this film, GO RENT IT NOW. What are you waiting for? An absolute must.
3
The Thing 1982,  R)
The Thing
John Carpenter's undisputed masterpiece of terror still holds up today as one of the greatest sci-fi / horror films of all time. Truly one of John Carpenter's greatest triumphs in his directing career. An absolute classic.
4
Escape from New York 1981,  R)
Escape from New York
Another of John Carpenter's best movies. A futuristic, bleak, and violent masterpiece with the greatest anti-hero ever. Truly awesome movie from beginning to end. I love it.
5
The Monster Squad 1987,  PG-13)
The Monster Squad
One of my favorites growing up, I've seen this one a hundred times over. Think of it as "The Little Rascals meets the Universal Monsters". Campy fun and classic one-liners make this one fun to watch over and over again...A blast!!
6
Night of the Comet 1984,  PG-13)
Night of the Comet
An overlooked gem of a horror/sci-fi classic. When a comet turns most of the population to dust, two California valley girls and a truck driver are left to fend for themselves against zombies and crazy scientists trying to find a "cure". A fun, campy, apocalyptic classic!!
7
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1974,  R)
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
One of, (if not the greatest) horror film of all time. If anyone tells you that the remake is better than the original, take a chainsaw upside their head!
8
A Nightmare on Elm Street 1984,  R)
A Nightmare on Elm Street
Wes Craven's horror masterpiece of terror and the film that introduced the world to a horror icon...Freddy Krueger. A true horror classic in every sense. One of the most original and scariest horror films ever made. See it, but whatever you do, DON'T FALL ASLEEP!! Not to be missed...A+
9
A Nightmare on Elm Street 2 - Freddy's Revenge 1985,  R)
A Nightmare on Elm Street 2 - Freddy's Revenge
The "oddball" out of the series that most fans look down on, but I actually enjoyed this one quite a bit. Freddy is very dark, serious, menacing, and scary...and the opening bus scene is straight out of a nightmare. In many ways better than the other sequels, but in some ways not. B-
10
A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 - Dream Warriors 1987,  R)
A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 - Dream Warriors
Aside from the first film, this is my next favorite film in the series. Loved how they explained more of Freddy's background and past. As always, Heather Langenkamp was beautiful and excellent in her performance as Nancy. A great entry in the "Nightmare" series!! A-
11
A Nightmare on Elm Street 4 - The Dream Master 1988,  R)
A Nightmare on Elm Street 4 - The Dream Master
A nice, decent entry in the "Nightmare" series that picks up where the 3rd one left off; this time Freddy meets his match with Alice ( a.k.a. the Dream Master) and this time Freddy actually "dies" and doesn't just *POOF* away and disappear as before. Nice FX and story all around though. B+
12
Freddy vs. Jason 2003,  R)
Freddy vs. Jason
After waiting for this movie for 15 years to get made, I gotta say the wait was worth it. It was everything I had hoped for and more. In the tradition of "King Kong vs. Godzilla", and "Frankenstein meets the Wolfman", this one is just as entertaining...Let's get ready to rumble!!!
13
Phantasm 1979,  R)
Phantasm
If you call yourself a horror fan and have not seen Phantasm, then you're not a true horror fan. One of the greatest, original, and unique horror films of all time and one of my personal favorites. An absolute masterpiece of horror and sci-fi. Not to be missed.
14
Phantasm II 1988,  R)
15
Phantasm III: Lord of the Dead 1994,  R)
16
Phantasm IV: Oblivion 1998,  R)
17
RoboCop 1987,  R)
RoboCop
One of the greatest action / sci-fi movies of ALL time!! Great story, great action, great FX, great acting, and great score. Bloody, violent, and action-packed from start to finish...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
18
Predator 1987,  R)
Predator
One of Arnold's greatest roles as he leads an army of soldiers into a deadly game of cat and mouse with the ultimate big game hunter. Arnold becomes the ultimate prey in this sci-fi / action masterpiece. A classic Arnold flick.
19
The Sword and the Sorcerer 1982,  R)
The Sword and the Sorcerer
One of the most overlooked and underrated gems to come out of the wake of the early 80's sword and sandal fantasy films. I place this one on the same shelf with my other favorite flick, Conan the Barbarian. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
20
Mad Max 1979,  R)
21
Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior 1981,  R)
22
The Terminator 1984,  R)
23
Terminator 2: Judgment Day 1991,  R)
24
Creepshow 1982,  R)
Creepshow
This one has it all...Romero, King, Savini, TED DANSON. If you're a horror movie fan, or even a horror comic fan, this one has it all. I can't recommend this one enough. A blast from beginning to end and truly the most fun you'll have being scared! :)
25
Creepshow 2 1987,  R)
Creepshow 2
An entertaining but inferior sequel to the first one. Not as good as part one, but waaay better than part 3. While part one had five tales of terror, this one only has three. Good but not great. :(
26
Donnie Darko 2001,  R)
27
Fright Night 1985,  R)
Fright Night
My favorite vampire flick, EVER. Great cast, great acting, great story, great villain, and great soundtrack. Roddy McDowell shines in this stylish, classic 80's flick that outshines any of the crappy vampire flicks being made today. They just don't make em' like this anymore! A must see for any 80's horror or vampire fan.! Oh, and one last thing..."You're SOOOO cool Brewster!"
28
Fright Night Part 2 1988,  R)
Fright Night Part 2
Strong, solid follow up to the original film with Charlie re-uniting with Peter Vincent; only this time the duo have to deal with the sister of the vampire in the first film...and she's a little pissed. A blast to watch and more fun than a barrel of blood-suckers. Highly recommended!!
29
Near Dark 1987,  R)
Near Dark
Not your typical vampire movie, and that's what I love about it. Very unique, stylish, and fun. The cast is excellent as the roaming "family" of vampires who travel by night and sleep by day. Lance Henriksen really shines in this underrated, horror cult classic. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
30
The Lost Boys 1987,  R)
The Lost Boys
As far as vampire movies go, they don't get much better than this one folks. One of my all-time favorites growing up, I never get tired of watching this one. This is what the 80's were all about - great horror movies that you rarely see anything today coming close to. A++
31
From Dusk Till Dawn 1996,  R)
From Dusk Till Dawn
Tarantino, Rodriguez, Savini, Clooney, and a gorgeous Salma Hayek dancing half naked with a huge snake...WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE? One part crime-drama, one part vampire horror splatter, and one part action thriller, there's something here for everyone. Easily Clooney's best performance to date. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
32
Bram Stoker's Dracula 1992,  R)
Bram Stoker's Dracula
An absolutely beautiful, stylish, and polished remake of Bram Stoker's classic vampire tale. Gary Oldman shines in the role that made Bele Lugosi a household name; and Anthony Hopkins makes an excellent Van Helsing. A truly breathtaking film. Highly recommended!! A++
33
Dracula 2000 2000,  R)
Dracula 2000
Pleasantly surprising little gem of a flick. I must say I enjoyed this one quite a bit...and loved the Dracula back story when we get to find out just exactly who Dracula really is!!! Forget what you think you know about the world's most famous vampire, trust me...You don't! Oh, and Jeri Ryan is HOT!!!!!!
34
Salem's Lot 1979,  PG)
Salem's Lot
Of all of Stephen King's book to be adapted to screen, this is easily one of his best and Tobe Hooper's best film since the first Texas Chainsaw Massacre. An absolute must for vampire and horror fans.
35
Beetlejuice 1988,  PG)
36
The Evil Dead 1981,  R)
The Evil Dead
When I think of cult classic, the" Evil Dead" immediately comes to mind. Sam Raimi's gritty, scary, low-budget masterpiece is one of the greatest horror films EVER and it introduced the world to the greatest zombie ass-kicker this side of the Necronomicon... Ash! Hail to the king, baby!!!
37
Evil Dead 2 1987,  R)
Evil Dead 2
Quite possibly, the most fantastic, in-yo-face, over the edge, slapstick horror flick EVER!!! They don't get much better than Evil Dead 2 folks...sorry, but they just don't. So oil your chainsaw, polish the boomstick, grab some popcorn, sit back and enjoy! GROOVY!!
38
Army of Darkness 1993,  R)
Army of Darkness
Think of it as "Evil Dead" meets the "Three Stooges". Yep, Ash is back, only this time he gets time-warped back to the year 1300 A.D. to battle a medieval army of the living dead (A.K.A. the Army of Darkness). Horror, action, romance, comedy, suspense...this ones got it all; not to mention some of the greatest one-liners ever spewed forth!!!
39
Alien 1979,  R)
Alien
Ridley Scott's sci-fi masterpiece of suspense and terror helped revolutionize the sci-fi genre as we know it today. This movie will keep you on the edge of your seat up to the heart-stopping end. An absolute masterpiece of terror and suspense. Brilliant!! A+++
40
Aliens 1986,  R)
Aliens
A very strong, worthy follow-up to "Alien" and a blast to watch. Whereas the first film focused more on suspense and terror, this one focuses more on action and thrills; but it still makes you hold on to your seat and watch up to the heart-stopping end! A++
41
AVP - Alien Vs. Predator 2004,  PG-13)
42
The Blob 1988,  R)
The Blob
Remakes usually suck...but this is one of the few exceptions. This one actually surpasses the original in every way. Great acting, FX, storyline, and direction make this one of the most fun horror movies around.
43
Ghost Rider 2007,  PG-13)
Ghost Rider
Definitely one of my favorite Marvel comic book movies so far...I loved everything about it. The casting, the FX, the plot, the characters, the direction, EVERYTHING. I was a little skeptical about Nicolas Cage playing the role, but I was pleasantly surprised. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
44
The Punisher 1989,  R)
The Punisher
Before there was a new comic book out movie every month or so, there was this little gem of a flick. I grew up watching this one over and over, and I must say Dolph makes a fine Frank Castle. Regardless of the missing skull insignia on his chest, this Punisher is still one bad ass mo-fo!!
45
Swamp Thing 1982,  PG)
46
Batman 1989,  PG-13)
Batman
Tim Burton's original Batman is still my favorite Batman movie to this day. Sure it has it's flaws, but overall it's a dark and gothic, action-packed, fun film to watch. Michael Keaton does a fine job as Batman and Jack Nicholson steals the show as the zany and psychotic Joker. More fun than a barrel full of bats!!!!!
47
Batman Returns 1992,  PG-13)
Batman Returns
A strong, solid follow-up to Burton's original Batman as we're once again taken to the dark and corrupt streets of Gotham City. Michael Keaton returns once more in the role of Batman...only this time he faces two enemies : The Penguin (played wonderfully by Danny DeVito) and the sensuous and sexy Catwoman (Played by the lovely Michelle Pfeiffer) . Dark, moody, atmospheric, and beautiful...this sequel is not to be missed.
48
Batman Begins 2005,  PG-13)
49
Superman 1978,  PG)
Superman
Greatest comic book movie EVER. 'Nuff said.
50
Superman II 1981,  PG)
Superman II
One of the rare instances where the sequel is superior to the original, Superman II is quite possibly the greatest superhero movie ever made...and the Richard Donner director's cut is the best version to see of it.

58
Blade 1998,  R)
Blade
Marvel's first and definitely one of their best comic book characters brought to the big screen. Wesley Snipes was born to play the half-human/half vampire "daywalker" Blade. Action, horror, martial-arts, comedy...this has it all, plus one of the coolest opening scenes ever.
59
Sin City 2005,  R)
60
V for Vendetta 2006,  R)
61
Conan the Destroyer 1984,  PG)
Conan the Destroyer
A weak, inferior sequel to "Conan the Barbarian", but still fun to watch. Whereas the first film was serious, bloodier, and more violent, this one is more light-hearted and has more of a watered down "family" feel to it; nor does it take itself serious enough. :(
62
The Beastmaster 1982,  PG)
The Beastmaster
A favorite of mine growing up!! Marc Singer plays Dar, a warrior that has the ability to communicate with animals and whose on a quest to seek revenge for the murder of his parents and his village. A fun action-packed sword & sorcery adventure in the tradition of Conan the Barbarian that's a blast from beginning to end.
63

The Princess Bride
This is one movie I've seen a hundred times and STILL not tired of it. In many ways, I consider The Princess Bride a perfect movie. It has everything a great movie needs and delivers 110% in all of them. Action, humor, fantasy, adventure, and romance...the ultimate fairy tale flick. A+++

Friday the 13th 1980,  R)
Friday the 13th
The granddaddy of 80's slasher films, Friday the 13th is a horror film classic. Someone's killing off the counselors of Camp Crystal Lake, but who is it? Turns out a young boy named Jason drowned in the lake years ago by negligent counselors, and now it's time to pay...but who's doing the killing? It's NOT Jason...
135
Friday the 13th Part 2 1981,  R)
Friday the 13th Part 2
Well, Mama Voorhees is dead and now Jason wants revenge on mommy's behalf. Picking up a few months after the events of part one, Jason enacts his revenge against the counselors of Crystal Lake one by one...starting with the one who beheaded dear ol' mom.
136
Friday the 13th Part 3 1982,  R)
Friday the 13th Part 3
My personal favorite entry in the Friday series. Jason finally dons the hockey mask for the first time and doesn't waste any time dispatching horny young teens and bikers. Originally shot in 3D, this was cool to watch in the theater back in the day. Definitely a must for any horror fan!!
137
Friday the 13th - The Final Chapter 1984,  R)
Friday the 13th - The Final Chapter
Think Jason was dead at the end of part 3? Silly monkey...You should know better. Jason awakens from a morgue and goes on another killing spree...but this time he's met his match. Get ready for Jason Vs. Corey Feldman. As it turns out, ol' Jason's not the only one who can swing a mean machete...watch out Jason!!
138
Friday the 13th, Part VI - Jason Lives 1986,  R)
Friday the 13th, Part VI - Jason Lives
Jason is resurrected from the grave via electricity Frankenstein style in this sixth entry in the series. Seems Tommy Jarvis wants to dig up Jason to make sure he's dead...and well, the answer is pretty much obvious. Not taking it's self too seriously this time, part 6 is a lot fun and very bloody.
139
Friday the 13th Part VII - The New Blood 1988,  R)
Friday the 13th Part VII - The New Blood
Jason is back from his watery grave from part 6 only to meet his match this time from a girl with telekinetic powers. This could've been called "Jason Vs. Carrie", but oh well...Still, this is one of my favorite entries in the Friday the 13th series and John Carl Buechler's look for Jason is dead-on...so to speak.
140
Hellraiser 1987,  R)
Hellraiser
Clive Barker's "Hellraiser" is a truly unique film in every way. Not your typical horror flick by any means, this is one of the most original, goriest, and frightening horror films I've ever seen. If I had to use one word to describe this film it would be "genius". Clive Barker is a true horror visionary and it truly shines in this film!
141
Hellbound: Hellraiser 2 1988,  R)
Hellbound: Hellraiser 2
An excellent sequel to Clive Barker's original masterpiece that picks up shortly after the events of part one. Julia, Kirsty, Uncle Frank, and even Pinhead and the gang are back again for more. This time we get to learn more of Pinhead's past and get to see more of Clive Barker's unique vision of Hell. A great sequel truly worthy of the original.
142
Hellraiser 3: Hell on Earth 1992,  R)
Hellraiser 3: Hell on Earth
Inferior sequel to the first two films, but still entertaining entry in the series. This time Pinhead is set free on earth to do as he pleases; unbound by a human half or even Hell's rules to follow. Not as dark, eerie, chilling, or scary as the previous two, but still a must for any Pinhead fan!!!

Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer
Campy and fun little monster romp of a movie. Make some popcorn, order a pizza, sit back and enjoy this soon to be cult classic.

Terror in the Aisles (Time for Terror)
Enjoyable and interesting little documentary-esque like film that covers all the classic horror and suspense films from the 80's, 70's, 60's and then some. And you can't go wrong with Donald Pleasence either.

Iron Man 2008,  PG-13)
Iron Man
Quite possibly the greatest comic book movie ever made...right behind The Dark Knight, X2, and the original 1978 Superman movie. Robert Downey Jr. was born to play Tony Stark! A blast from start to finish!!! A+++

30 Days of Night 2007,  R)
30 Days of Night
Excellent adaptation of the ground breaking graphic novel by Steve Niles, vampires arrive in Barrow, Alaska just in time for the town's 30 days of night. Too bad nobody told the good townspeople they were comin'...good luck!!!

Deathstalker II: Duel of the Titans
One of my all time favorite sword and sorcery flicks that doesn't take itself too seriously and is somewhat a parody of the genre. There's never a dull moment from start to finish and Monique Gabrielle isn't bad to look at either! ;)
