It takes serious talent to tackle such a sensitive and dark subject - in a comedy - and come out at the end with such startlingly great results. Hilarious, moving, poignant, educational and thought-provoking all at the same time. Morris expertly steers the film - just as it gets almost too dark to take, we're brought back to comedy with light relief and some of the most quotable film lines of the last ten years. Just brilliant.

My favourite movie of all time - no competition. If you know anything about the original mythology you'd know how amazingly clever this film is. It's many layers deal brilliantly with the dangers of pride and the healing that comes with forgiveness. Fantastic performances, beautifully shot - brilliant movie.

Glory R

If I could, I would give this movie a hundred stars. The acting is astounding, and the film tells the story without pulling any punches. The scene of the night before they go into the final battle and face certain death is probably my favourite scene ever - it's so moving. Love this film and everyone should see it.
