My Favorite Movies

Visually awesome movie. I've seen my share of gladiator and sword/shield type movies but none like this. This is the pit-bull of the battlefield clash.

An enjoyable little adventure story. Good storyline and good characters, and ofcourse topnotch actors.

I quite enjoyed this movie, the songs, action, drama was very good. Butler did a pretty good job as the phantom. Who'd have known that Rossum could sing so well also. In particular I liked the song they were singing when she pulled his mask off as well as the 'wandering child'.

I very much enjoyed this, especially the big fight at the start where the supremely confident Beowulf brings the monstrous giant down...yahoo! I'd have given the movie full points if they had managed to keep the action up as it had started. It feels like they allowed the movie to slip a bit afterward. Maybe they should have not jumped ahead in Beowulf's life so drastically. They should have bridged it with a bit more of his legend building activities or a time spanning narration or something. I enjoy these mythic adventures a lot as you can tell.

One of the best movies ever! A dimwit who just has a life of extremely rich experiences. It's funny, dramatic, escapist and warmly captivating. A-plus!

This is one movie that i enjoyed quite a bit more than i thought I would...and based on a true story at that, this guy has some brass balls!

This one I really enjoyed. I had expected an anticlimax sort of movie with the trailers being the sole highpoints of the flick, and was quite pleasantly surprised. it turned out to be quite an intelligent and even philosophical scifi/action/mystery film. Very good!

I love this movie regardless of whatever 'weaknesses' the movie pundits like to point out. The movie starts right out of the blocks. Awesome earth-busting mayhem, and then the fight-back. how the heck did the Masai bring down that space-ship though..some badass slingshotting there yo!

I love the MIB movies, a heavy hitting combo here with Big Will and Tommy Lee Jones. Funny and action loaded. Great watch and very creative story.

action galore

Action, action, action. I love the transporter movies. Impossible stunts, and a badass martial artist giving it to the bad guys harder than they can dish it out...nice!

Fresh, straight to the point action. Do not mess up this guy's chi or he'll transport you to a world of pain.

Crazy and over the top! Fast-paced with an unexpected ending. Go Chelios!

One of my favorite vampire flicks of all time. One of the early ones that got me hooked. Good humor, damn good story and characters. Classic.

This one unexpectedly became one of my favorite movies. I enjoy it every time so something here really rings with me. It feels like the scifi flicks of old, like critters and gremlins and such. Very good...for me atleast.

Excellent adaptation of one of the most popular comic superheroes of all time. How a guy could have so much power and still be broke I don't know. Anyway, very good story, action and special effects. I feel for the Goblin though, come on...tell me you weren't pleased when he gave those treacherous business colleagues of his their come-uppers. Parker is a bit whimpy but nevertheless long live Spidey!

I enjoy all of the spidey films. This one was once again quite entertaining even though they messed up the venom story...since when was Eddie Brock this little whiney punk? Also spiderman and venom have enough going on between them to fill several movies, they didn't need to share the stage and then kill venom so quickly. The action and special effects were great once again nevertheless.

I have to say that these are right up there as some of the absolute best comic book adaptations ever. Only Batman and the Transformers are on this level right now. As good as Xmen (especially the 3rd one) was Spidey swings higher still. The only thing that gets me is Peter being such a sap and 'loser' at times. The movie is top-notch though.

Very good movie, i am a scifi/comic nut anyways so BIAS! I think I enjoyed the most of the whole trilogy by the way. Poor cyclops though, first Wolverine comes and now this! I love Wolverine though. Top notch.

A pretty good comic adaptation, and i do love my comics and their adaptations, but it lacks something in the story to give that extra 'zip'. Some kind of real crisis and struggle, and getting the most out of the heroes.

I love comics and scifi, so I enjoyed this one as well. The '4' flicks just don't rise up to where they should be for me though. All the elements are there for a great movie but something else needs to be injected. Need some nitrous for a turboboost, and wake this giant up. A bit more grit is required here...a bit more whup-ass...a bit more crisis...a little less comedy. Let's see the team members use their powers a bit more to struggle and do some creative stuff. I think te heroes need a better mix of villains to bring out their potential. They are much more versatile in the comics and that's probably the downfall of the movies. Having said that I still found it fairly enjoyable.

Very good batman movie here, deserving 'upgrade' of the Michael Keaton/Jack Nicholson classic. Very slick.

Really good adaptation of one of the toons I grew up on. Turned out to be better than what I expected from a non-animated flick. Phenomenal special effects. Why did Optimus turn out to be Megatron's little b$#tch though? It's good to give the baddie some 'umph' but still that was a bit one-sided particularly considering that Prime used to kick butt in the toon format. Anyway still great.

A bloody good movie. Horror and thriller. Some 'nice' gruesome stuff in this as well...monster stuff I mean of-course. Very good.

I quite enjoyed this one, with the battle spilling over onto us regular earth folks. Chaotic and gruesome scifi mayhem.

Great scifi thriller. Very creative story and set. Special effects also very good. You could cut through the suspense and tension with a chainsaw in some of these scenes.

Another winner in my book. This is more pressure than humans were made to handle. A prison population up against a lion-like alien in this creepy prison well suited to 'alien camouflage', and no weapons on top of all this?! Yikes, I would've hidden in a crack until it was all over!

My favorite of all the Alien movies without a doubt. Intense struggle for survival against the beasties. The buildup to mayhem is exquisite.

Very enjoyable movie. Don't watch for any philosophical mumbo-jumbo, it's light, it's scifi, and it's a fun and creative ride. The characters are a good mix and well done as well. Some big names in the cast...ofcourse whether big or not I know 'em all...hehe!

A classic scifi adventure/action...with Arnie! This is when he was at his peak before he started to decrease his onscreen physical power so mere mortals could pose more of a threat. Anyway very enjoyable. Bad guys get the customary Arnie treatment as well...very nice!

A very good, touching movie, with excellent narration (as expected) by Morgan freeman...he must be the master of the narration in hollywood now. Anyway, very good characters and a really inspiring (even if painful at times) story.

Ooohwee! One of the grand-daddies of the scifi dandies. I love Star Wars, and as much as I like this one it still wasn't my favorite. Anyway...Jedi powers, light sabres, galactic struggles, weird creatures...nice!

A very good third installment. Probably the most action-packed one of the bunch...so far. I enjoyed all of the Bourne films. I never got why Bourne never disguises himself though, that surely would have added to the realism of it all. Anyway very good.

I am a fan of all the Bourne films. Quite frankly the novels are better, but these do a good job. One beef I have though is the lack of disguising by Bourne...how long can you really survive without it?

A really good sequel, much better than the 3rd installment. State of the art special effects, it was a groundbreaker at the time when it was newly released. I'll watch this one anytime.

Very raw and gritty movie. You can feel the grit just emanating from the screen at times here. The top subplot here was absolutely the Mickey Rourke story..yeah the ugly guy. What a bad-ass! I'd love to have him in my corner I tell you. Don't watch if you're squeamish though, a fair amount of gore in this one..and sometimes it's damn funny!

Very gritty installment, very fresh with a top-notch Bond. This guy has all the looks, attitude (swagger), charisma and finally the physicality to be a really believable and explosive Bond. Really good film.

This guy has so much attitude and 'umphh' in his disposition. He's stepped Bond up a level as far as I'm concerned. Him and Connery would have made the ultimate Bond double-team. Good action as expected as well. I also like 'M', she's a hard head-mistress.

A pretty good invasion movie here, I like the storyline. They made it so suspenseful without the all-out sci-fi, mind-numbing action (which I do love by the way). I had to keep watching this all the way so I wouldn't miss anything. That's a pretty good story in my book.

Pretty good epic-style action film...but then I am a sucker for these type of films. The hero, the battle, winner takes all, no guns (mano y mano). Brad Pitt fit this part quite well too.
