After watching the trailers many times, I got a sense of what this movie was going to be like. Then watching the movie I knew every horror scene and when it was coming, which for me ruined the movie however, 1408 does finally deliver great horror that doesnt have to involve blood and disgusting ways to die, but horror that makes you jump and gets you pissed off. Cusack distributes a very effective lead role and one that does not disappoint. Then there is Samuel L. who should of been in it more, because his role was classic. I was expecting better from 1408, but with the recent horror movies out there this one does deliver some solid material for a PG-13 film. If they would of up the film to R and added some more "stuff" this could of been the top horror movie of the year. Overall with the twists and turns of the movies and the decent horror scenes I would suggest to go and check this one out.

I walked away satisfied with not only the solid story, but the above average performances.
