I'm actually glad to see someone has the ball to make a full silent movie with unknown actors. As a silent movie fan I had huge expectation, too bad the movie didn't fulfill it, the story is pretty simple (not that there's anything wrong with that) but the overall movie is just not as amazing as I expected. Jean Dujardin was great, he reminds me a lot of Clark Gable and Douglas Fairbanks.

This might sound weird but this is the first movie that made me to start paying attention about European cinema, call me late, but hey fuck you too. Malena is one of the best coming-of-age movie I've ever seen, in fact it's very underrated. Critic loves Tornatore's Cinema Paradiso more, but this is just as good as Cinema Paradiso. Ennio Morricone's scores just never fail to impress me. Monica Bellucci is the star of this movie, in fact, SHE is the movie. Giuseppe Sulfaro portrayal of little boy obsessed with the town's most hated woman is also unforgettable. I could watch this movie over and over again and still loves every second of it.
