1	The Thing 1982, R) Probably the best horror movie ever made. Scary, poignant, and a nightmarish fable about society, with the excuse of an encounter with a hostile alien.
2	Airplane! 1980, PG) The most hilarious comedy ever. If you don't laugh with this movie, you're simply dead.
3	The Wedding Banquet (Xi yan) 1993, R) Ang Lee's best film, and Ang Lee's greatest gay film. And also a really subtle political satire with a completely amazing ending that many people fail to get. Lol.
4	Little Shop of Horrors 1986, PG-13) Simply one of the funniest movies ever. And one of the best musicals. Its visual effects, 22 years later, are still jaw-dropping, and it features two amazing performances by Eilen Greene and Steve Martin.
5	El Milagro de P. Tinto (The Miracle of P. Tinto) 1998, Unrated) Simply one of the best and most inventive and original spanish movies ever made. Unique. A Masterpiece.
6	The Blair Witch Project 1999, R) One of the few truly scary movies that has been made with intelligence. Once you buy its premise, you simply can't object anything about it. If it gets you, it grabs you and simply doesn't let you go. Some say it's boring. Ok, go rent another Friday the 13th. Real horror ain't to see the guts of people, but comes from the unknown.
7	Hairspray 2007, PG) Can I say that despite the b.o. hit and the critical acclaim this movie is still UNDERRATED?. Talking about the artistic quality of the movie and the play itself... this is one of the most perfect movies of the last decade, in all senses. Travolta's performance is simply awesome, even if not anyone's cup of tea. His Edna is another icon more in his hands, adding to Tony Manero, Danny Succo, Chili Palmer or Vincent Vega. The man - like him or not - is a simply amazing actor, when in state of grace.
8	Missing 1982, PG) A movie every human being should see.
9	Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan 2006, R)
10	Binta y la gran idea (Binta and the Great Idea) 2004, Unrated) A short masterpiece by, probably, the best spanish director nowadays. A pity it lost the Oscar
