1	Edward Scissorhands 1990, PG-13) Pure whimsy and magical charm
2	The Fountain 2006, PG-13) One of the most important films I've ever seen. It's absolutely heartbreaking while being beautiful, deep and insightful about life, love and death. The visuals as well as the acting are absolutely breathtaking. Clint Mansell's score is haunting as well. Such an amazing and, to me, perfect film. I loved every second of it.
3	The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring 2001, PG-13) Breathtakingly gorgeous, painstaking attention to detail and transcendant.
4	A Clockwork Orange 1971, R) Disturbingly mind-blowingly amazing.
5	Pan's Labyrinth 2006, R) Delightful, heartbreaking and charming from start to finish. Quite beautiful all the way around, really.
6	Amores Perros 2000, R) Uncompromising, brutal and amazingly well-acted. "Love's a bitch".
7	The Shawshank Redemption 1994, R) Perfection.
8	Ed Wood 1994, R) I don't know why this movie makes me as happy as it does. Perhaps it's Johnny's performance of Ed's blind optimism and hope or maybe it's all of it and Landau's Lugosi too. :)
9	Boogie Nights 1997, R) Actually EXTREMELY funny and all in all, a damn good movie as well.
10	Memento 2000, R) One of the most original films you will ever see. One of the best too.
11	Run Lola Run (Lola rennt) 1998, R) Frenetic, kinetic, hyper and so much fun to watch.
12	Dead Man 1995, R) It's like watching beautiful poetry.
13	Le Samouraï (The Godson) 1967, PG) One of my favorite movies of all time. This movie is easily the definition of the word 'cool'. My son's name is going to be Jef Costello Myer. Enough said. I only feel bad because I'm just now reviewing this movie and putting it on my favorites list when it actuality it should've been on there from day one.
14	The Prestige 2006, PG-13) One of the best movies ever made on one of the coolest subjects possible. This cast is knockout as are the twists and turns. If you figure it out, cheers to you.
15	Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid 1969, PG) Classic, funny and plain cool.
16	Donnie Brasco 1997, R) Heartbreaking, underrated, extremely accurate and well-acted.
17	Lady in the Water 2006, PG-13) Beautiful fairy tale, charming, off-beat and clever
18	Scent of a Woman 1992, R) Stunning and real.
19	The Departed 2006, R) One of the finest casts assembled in the history of cinema. Also one of the funniest movies I have ever seen which is remarkable considering the subject matter. Everyone shines and a few stand out as true stars.
20	The Shining 1980, R) Stanley Kubrick is the absolutely man. This is one of the scariest movies ever to be made.
21	L.A. Confidential 1997, R) On the Q.T., off the record and very Hush Hush. Such good noir, it's ridiculously perfect in every way.
22	Magnolia 1999, R) Real, poignant and heartbreaking.
23	The Hours 2002, PG-13) Deep, amazingly well-acted and delicate.
24	The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou 2004, R) Hilarious and just plain cool
25	The Motorcycle Diaries (Diarios de Motocicleta) 2003, R) Amazing, beautiful.
26	Best in Show 2000, PG-13) Hilarious. Hilarious. Hilarious.
27	The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers 2002, PG-13) Amazing and a great bridge from Fellowship to Return of the King.
28	The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King 2003, PG-13) Despite all of its apparent flaws, easily a masterpiece of modern cinema and a fantastic ending to one of the greatest trilogies of all time and one of the best motion picture trilogies in cinema.
29	Romeo and Juliet 1968, PG) Best love story ever told? You betcha.
30	Tombstone 1993, R) One of THE best westerns ever. Val Kilmer's Doc is probably in the top 10 of coolest characters of all time.
31	Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom 1984, PG) Every one of these is a gem, even this slightly 3rd place out of the 3 one.
32	Primal Fear 1996, R) Amazing...stunning conclusion.
33	The Descent 2005, R) Brutal, gory, scary and hard to forget
34	American Psycho 2000, R) Absolutely brutal and hilarious.
35	V for Vendetta 2006, R) You don't get much more perfect than this.
36	12 Angry Men (Twelve Angry Men) 1957, Unrated) Simply a classic.
37	Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 2005, PG) More true adaptation of the classic book, Depp is a perfect Wonka
38	Glory 1989, R) Amazing.
39	The Fog 1980, R) This is one of the scariest scary movies of all time.
40	Of Mice and Men 1992, PG-13) Heartbreaking.
41	High Tension (Switchblade Romance) 2003, R) Original, entrancing and actually quite a beautiful film to look at.
42	Shaun of the Dead 2004, R) Funny as all hell.
43	Batman Begins 2005, PG-13) Now this is Batman, bitches.
44	Minority Report 2002, PG-13) Underrated, great sci-fi action
45	Pride and Prejudice 2005, PG) Probably the most romantic thing I've ever seen. Wonderfully acted and gorgeous to watch.

47	Seven (Se7en) 1995, R) Sick and disturbing but hard to turn away from its greatness.
48	Unbreakable 2000, PG-13) Shyamalan is the man. Sam Jackson is too and he is definitely in full force in this movie.

50	Rushmore 1998, R) Cool, charming, witty and clever.

59	Eyes Wide Shut 1999, R) A complex puzzle that rewards you once you're finished with it...plus it has the best ending line in a movie...ever.
60	Dazed and Confused 1993, R) "That's what I love about these high school chicks man...I keep getting older and they stay the same age."
61	The Siege 1998, R) Underrated and forgotten. This is one of both Denzel and Willis' best.
62	From Hell 2001, R) Really underrated: disturbing, creepy and well acted.
63	Proof of Life 2000, R) Russell defines 'badass' in this pretty fantastic action-drama.
64	Reservoir Dogs 1992, R) Undeniably badass and cool.
65	Hocus Pocus 1993, PG) Reminds me of my childhood, one my favorite's as a youngin.
66	A Few Good Men 1992, R) "...and you're under arrest, you son of a bitch." Fantastic courtroom action.
67	Match Point 2005, R) Dangerous cocktail of seduction, deception, sex, sensuality and death.
68	A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 - Dream Warriors 1987, R) The best besides the first.
69	A Nightmare on Elm Street 1984, R) Johnny Depp is in it. Enough said, this movie is a horror CLASSIC.
70	Interview with the Vampire 1994, R) Mindblowingly good and creepy.
71	Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (Wo hu cang long) 2003, PG-13) Epic and beautifully scored.

74	Hercules 1997, G) Probably my personal favorite Disney movie after Aladdin, I just love it.
75	Sleepy Hollow 1999, R) Underrated and just plain creepy and disturbing. The cast is amazing.

131	The Count of Monte Cristo 2002, PG-13) Revenge is a dish best served cold. This is one of the best stories ever told and a very underrated movie.
132	Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World 2003, PG-13) Very underrated probably due to its length. Bettany and Crowe play off each other so well.
133	Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind 2004, R) Fantastic cast. Great premise and amazing execution.
134	Black Hawk Down 2001, R) Probably my favorite modern war movie. Great ensemble cast.
135	Road to Perdition 2002, R) One of the best gangster movies ever. Everyone is just...amazing.
136	Pulp Fiction 1994, R) Best dialog in a movie. Period. Funny. Sharp as a razor.
137	Superman Returns 2006, PG-13) Feels like the originals. Absolutely magical from start to finish.
138	A Beautiful Mind 2001, PG-13) Probably Crowe's best acting to date. This is such a touching story. Connelly is amazing too, so is Bettany and Harris.
139	Million Dollar Baby 2004, PG-13) Gritty and heartbreakingly good.
140	Munich 2005, R) Uncompromisingly gritty and true to the subject at hand. Fantastic acting and directing.
141	The Neverending Story 1984, PG) A childhood favorite. Pure fantasy.
142	Amélie (Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain) 2001, R) Whimsical. Charming. Cute. Sweet. Adorable. Funny.
143	Casablanca 1942, PG) Definition of a romance. Definition of a classic.
144	Almost Famous 2000, R) It feels so real and pure. Great acting, great score. Amazing story.
145	The Constant Gardener 2005, R) Heartbreaking. Eye-opening. Life-changing. Amazing. Chemistry.
146	Cinderella Man 2005, PG-13) Great underdog story.
147	Kingdom of Heaven 2005, R) Watch the director's cut that recently came out on DVD. It makes all the difference in the world. It turns a 3 star movie into a 5.
148	Vanilla Sky 2001, R) Mind-blowing. Great acting. Beautiful beautiful movie.
149	Rain Man 1988, R) Sweet, funny and ultimately very very touching.
150	The Last Samurai 2003, R) Gorgeous score, gorgeous to look at. Great acting, fantastic acting.

152	Capote 2005, R) PSH's Capote will go down as one of the best acting jobs in history. Such a touching, poignant movie.

155	Training Day 2001, R) Brutal and uncompromising. It's no wonder that Denzel won the Oscar. Hawke should've been in line for supporting though.

161	Trainspotting 1996, R) Probably the best drug movie around besides Requiem. This one won't depress you and make you contemplate suicide though.
162	The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (Il Buono, il Brutto, il Cattivo.) 1966, R) Clint defines badass. One of the best westerns ever.

164	The Royal Tenenbaums 2002, R) Touching in an off-beat way. Hilarious and sweet.
165	Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest 2006, PG-13) Amazing sequel.
166	Seven Samurai (Shichinin no Samurai) 1954, Unrated) The quintissential Kurosawa movie and the essential samurai movie. Perfect all-around. They should teach whole film classes about this masterpiece.

169	On the Waterfront 1954, Unrated) This is Brando at his finest.

171	The Village 2004, PG-13) Possibly the sweetest, most touching love story I've ever seen. Bryce Dallas is mesmerizing.
172	Vertigo 1958, PG) Undeniably Hitchcock's best work. This movie is hypnotizing, it's so good.
173	Cidade de Deus (City of God) 2002, R) Touching, brutal and just plain amazing.
174	The Godfather, Part II 1974, R) The best sequel ever? Almost. Jesus, this movie is amazing.
175	Raging Bull 1980, R) One of the best performances of all time.
176	The Boondock Saints 2000, R) Great guy's movie. So cool and harsh.
177	Schindler's List 1993, R) Absolutely perfect in every way. One of the most heartbreaking movies I've ever seen.
178	Requiem for a Dream 2000, R) Watch this movie and you'll never want to do drugs again or ever try them in the first place. This movie is so harsh and brutal, it's very hard to watch and even harder to forget.
179	Dr. Strangelove Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb 1964, PG) Probably the best black comedy of all time. This cast is absolutely hilarious together.
180	Léon (The Professional) 1994, R) Ultimate badass movie. Touching and sweet as well as being well acted, Portman and Oldman are so good.
181	Rear Window 1954, PG) Hitchcock at his finest. Jimmy Stewart is the man.
182	GoodFellas 1990, R) Probably the best modern mafia movie besides Donnie Brasco.
183	Young Frankenstein 1974, PG) HILARIOUS.
184	Cinema Paradiso (Nuovo Cinema Paradiso) 1988, R) Amazing coming of age story.
185	One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest 1975, R) Jack's McMurphy is one of the best performances you'll ever see. This movie is too good for words.

189	Children of Men 2006, R) Disturbing. Heartfelt. Realistic. Nightmarish. Hopeful. Beautiful. One of the best movies I've seen ever and definitely top of the year.
190	Babel 2006, R) Alejandro is a genius. Nuff said.
191	Suspiria 1977, R) Scariest movie of all time? Quite possibly. Hallucinatory, disturbing, creepy and it will stay with you well after you've seen it.
192	The English Patient 1996, R) Stunningly beautiful, deep and heartbreaking.
193	My Boyfriend's Back 1993, PG-13) God damn I loved this movie. I used to cry at the end every time. It gets so sad.
