"What? No. We can't stop here. This is bat country." In a world of all drugs known to man kind, a gonzo journalist and a psykotic attorney we find Raul Duke. We follow Duke and Dr. Gonzo on their search for the american dream. The movie is different, hysterical and at times absolutley hilarious. Through the movie we follow Duke as he hallucinates and wonders about life. Its a different and interesting movie when Johnny Depp and Benicio Del Toro are at their best...the two of them together makes the movie even better. Johnny is amazing as Duke but he is for once maybe slightly out-shined by Benicio Del Torro's fantastic performance as the buzzed Dr. Gonzo. Definitly worth watching. "There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die."
And shepherds we shall be, for Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In nomine Patri. Et Fili.Spiritus Sancti. The MacManus brothers are two Catholic brothers that decides to take justice into their own hands. They set out to kill the russian mob and it's head peacock Yakavetta. All done in the name of God. Wicked Crazy. That's what this movie is. At times I wasn't even sure what exactly it was about and yet I loved it. Brilliantly funny dialogue and amazing captivating performances by the whole cast. Willem dafoe is a genius I tell you. His eccentric FBI agent was fantastic. And the MacManus brothers, Murphy; Norman Reedus and Connor Sean Patrick Flanery were brilliant. What's not to like about these two? They're funny, cute, irish which makes anything that comes out of their moths sound absolutley droolworthy and deadly. The plot may have been slightly confusing at time but that didnšt matter that's just how great it was. And te way it was shot over all was something I really liked...it had some Tarantino-ish over it actually. Brilliant crazy Thriller with an amazing cast and funny dialouge.
