For as excited as the previews made me, Chronicle turned out to be nothing spectacular. The script was pretty lost, and it looked like the kids were under-directed, as "cheesy" kept coming to mind. The director waited way too late to make a "villain," and even with all the triggers that could prompt one of them to become evil, they keep a lame movie going until there isn't enough time for a good movie. The "found footage" aspect was real poor, and the number of different cameras they used became irritating further into Chronicle, as they seemed to want to get away from it altogether toward the end of the movie.

The Woman in Black is a methodically done film. One which I would hesitate to recommend to a number of my friends, because of the slow speed. It relies on the spectacular cinematography, eeriness, and subtle spooks to scare the viewer, and does so very well. You'll know when something is coming, but it's still pretty freaky. The unspectacular ending is the weakest part of the movie, but I wasn't upset, because of how good the rest of the movie is. It's more freaky than scary, but Radcliffe does a good job, and makes me forget, for a while, that he was Harry Potter.
