Black Swan

Black Swan is senseless. I thought it would be artistic; intriguing (in a good way). Instead I found it incredibly shallow. The characters were caricatures of real ballet dancers and ballet parents. The more I delve it in the more artificial I find it. This film truly was made to entertain rather than impress. The horror aspects were more funny than shocking. The pacing was handled rather messily. The story culminates on opening night. Wow (in disappointment). I am sorry this film was unable to live up to expectations from the trailer. Whatever sells tickets or makes money, right Fox/Hollywood? The popularity of this film degrades our society's intellect. Many people must feel swindled out of their ticket money after seeing Black Swan. I feel deceived by the way it was fantastically marketed (Decent acting Natalie Portman).

I was delighted to see such an intelligent real film about academic people. The cast is amazing. Thomas Hayden Church is so funny. :) I like Vanessa and Janet's clothes (Vanessa's vests and Janes coat are great). As mentioned in the commentary this film shows that some teens don't rebel. And Ellen Page is so skinny!

This is one of the best and most amusing classic Disney films. It's well-written, well animated (the mannerisms of the characters and the characters/scenery in general are portrayed so well), and memorable - timeless. The music and humour are outstanding.
