My Favorite Movies

One of my favorite movies.

Another excellent movie. Kathy Bates is unbelievably believable as Dolores. Story reminds us all not to assume that we know the truth.

I love this movie. So many 'moving' scenes. Can't help but cry every time I see 'Shug' and her father reunite. A beautiful movie.

I often like to watch very sad movies and this certainly qualitfies as sad. Beautifully acted.

Just a good old fashioned comedy. Lots of laughs. Especially like the scene of the huge trailer being backed into a relatives driveway.

A very funny movie especially for those who appreciate 'dry' SCTV type of humour.

I never looked at birds the same way after watching 'The Birds'. A fun movie to watch. Although somewhat disturbing in parts.

Not sure I'd love this movie quite as much if it wasn't for the great car chase. The car chase scene is considered by many to be the best ever filmed.

Bette Davis as her best - I think.

A non-stop action thriller. A scary look at what can happen if our right to privacy is taken away.

An excellent movie about a time many of us would rather forget. [But should never forget]

If you like the idea of watching a Dodge Challenger go fast - this is the movie for you. [And for me too!!]

One of those movies that makes no sense at all as an edited for TV version. Worth watching on DVD - that's for sure.

I enjoyed 'The Green Mile' a lot more the second time I watched it. Funny how that happpens. Now it's one of my favourites.

No doubt - quite daring for it's day. The Spencer Tracy speech near the end of the movie is worth 4 stars alone.

A great movie. Many of us can relate to Liza's character. [I know I can] She feels so horribly awkward and out of step with the rest of the world and often responds to those feelings by belittling those around her who trigger those feelings of not fitting in. So very human.

An excellent movie. Louise Fletcher deserved her Oscar.

A great midnight movie. It's probably the main reason I prefer to own a powerful car!!

Quite interesting - if not a bit unbelievable. Still worth watching though.

My second favourite Airport movie. [After'Airport '77'] Fun to watch how capable the Concorde was.

The original and [by far] the best. It allowed the viewers to care about those trying to get out. [Unlike that horrible remake staring Kurt Russell]

A great movie. Sad - in parts. If society allowed men to be more emotionally intimate with each other - there might be less need [for some] to become physically intimate.

I liked this movie - but for some reason I found it somewhat annoying. It does keep moving though so you shouldn't get bored.

"You can't handle the truth!!" A great movie. Of course - Tom Cruise is almost a little too 'cool' - but I suppose that's what most people expect of Tom. [At least they did at one time]

A truly great movie. Very 'moving' and VERY funny in parts. Doesn't go over the top [although it sometimes gets very close to doing so] and remains surprisingly believable.

Still can't believe I bought the 'Caligula' DVD at an ordinary DVD store. Must have been ordered by mistake!! lol An interesting story - for sure - but NOT for kids OR for 'sensitive' adults. Lots of nudity, sex, violence and - well - unpleasant scenes. Yikes!! lol

Saw 'Brainstorm' in a theatre - where it belongs. Quite a few scenes that NEED to be on the 'big screen'. Worth watching - though - even on a watchman!! Makes one wonder - once again - what death might really be like.

A very good movie. 90% 'Tom Hanks' - so if you like Tom [As I do] then you'll probably really like 'Cast Away'. It is a drama so don't expect 'laughs a plenty'.

An OK movie. For some reason - I couldn't get 'into' it. [And I've seen it twice now] Still... worth watching. [But then I think most movies are 'worth watching']

The first really scary movie I ever saw. That said... don't most of us wish that we could 'think' our way to getting even with the 'not so nice'?!

Really? Five stars?! Well... I can't help myself. I love 'The Changeling'. It's one of my favourite movies!! What choice do I have. It's a great ghost story.

A great movie. Very 'tight' and well acted. Brings up a lot of emotional responses. [How would I react? What would I do? That sort of thing]

A good movie. If you've always wanted to see what Cary Elwes' bum looks like - this is your chance!! lol Seriously - an interesting story.

A good movie. But you have to see ALL of it - NOT the version that has been 'Edited for Television'.

To be honest - I've never seen this version. But I have seen the 1972 version with Peter Falk and Jill Clayburgh. THAT was a wonderful movie. One of my favourites.

I bought the DVD because I was told a Chrysler 300C is in it!! Ended up liking the movie.

I love this film. Typical of the courage of early 1970's film makers. Not afraid to tell interesting and unusual stories.

Over the years I've probably watched 'Ordinary People' 20+ times. For some reason it really 'spoke' to me. A moving story that focuses - in part - on how one deals with survivor guilt.

Very well acted. Worth watching - even though it may be somewhat difficult for some to do so.

Not quite as awful [scary wise] as I thought it was going to be. Very well acted.

Oddly enough - a fun movie to watch. Yet another lesson for all when it comes to being careful who you play for a fool.

I can't help myself. I have no choice but to give 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' the full five stars. It was my all-time favourite movie when I was a kid. [And I still really like it] A car that flies. Imagine that!! :o)

A great movie - but often difficult to watch. 'Mother' in film was brilliantly acted. She anchored the entire film. [Well... her 'attitude' towards what's right and wrong did - at least]

I really enjoyed watching 'The Firm'. Good story. And scary too. [In the 'could really happen' sort of way]

Basically 'Sleeping in Seattle'. An easy movie to watch.
