Empire Records
The greatest slacker movie of our time. Brilliant cast who were no names on their way to being names, this movie is funny s***t.
2
Nowhere 1997,  R)
Nowhere
Greg Araki's best (in my opinion) films. Not everyone's cup of tea but definatly mine. Great dialogue, brilliant casting and in your face graphics.
3
Girl 1998,  R)
Girl
Not as brilliant as Blake Nelson's book that this is based on, Girl show's how it is growing up teen angst.
4
Romy and Michele's High School Reunion 1997,  R)
Romy and Michele's High School Reunion
"If anyone needs to make a call, I have a phone." Even when old age kicks in, I know I will still be quoting those girls who invented post its.
5
Donnie Darko 2001,  R)
Donnie Darko
Proberly the best cult classic of the past 10 yrs...
6
Clueless 1995,  PG-13)
Clueless
Alicia Silverstone at her peak. Another movie worthy of quoting. "Hello! It was his 50th birthday!"
7
Dirty Love 2004,  R)
Dirty Love
In the imortal words of Anna Nicole Smith, this movie is "frikin' genius".
Not the B grader it looks, Jenny has real talent as a comedic actress. Will have you screaming quotes like "clean up in produce" and "touch my bass" for months to come. If for no other reason, at least check it out for Carmen Electra's attempt at being African American.
8
Party Girl 1995,  R)
Party Girl
If only I can track this down on DVD... I nearly wore out the video stores copy...
9
I Know What You Did Last Summer 1997,  R)
I Know What You Did Last Summer
By far Kevin Williamsons best horror. The end still makes me jump. Scream taught us to laugh at the rules but I Know shows you how to look out for them.
10
Jawbreaker 1999,  R)
Jawbreaker
Black comedy at it's best. About time the 90's had it's version of Heathers.
11
The Good Girl 2002,  R)
The Good Girl
Jake Gyllenhaal... What more can I say. Sigh.
12
Mysterious Skin 2004,  NC-17)
Mysterious Skin
Brilliant... Like everything done by Gregg Araki...
13
The Hills Have Eyes 2006,  R)
The Hills Have Eyes
Finally a remake worth watching. Don't waste time on the original if you are looking to see this film.
14
Halloween 1978,  R)
Halloween
Best horror series of all time. Laurie Strode comes from one seriously disturbed family.
15
The Craft 1996,  R)
The Craft
"You look out for those weirdo's."
"We are the weirdo's, Mr."
16
Heathers 1988,  R)
Heathers
One for the top 5 Winnona movies ever - "F**k me gently with a chainsaw, Heather!"
17
The Breakfast Club 1985,  R)
The Breakfast Club
Some say Ferris Buller was the teen flick of the 80's. They were wrong. The Breakfast Club defines teen films.
18
Go 1999,  R)
Go
Timmothy Olyphant.... Yummo...
19
Scream 1996,  R)
Scream
The movie that brought Drew Barrymore back to the cinema screens and revamped horror movies for the 90's. Slasher flicks never looked this cool.
20
The Doom Generation 1995,  R)
The Doom Generation
Another classic Gregg Araki flick. Very messed up angst.
21
2:37 2006,  Unrated)
2:37
Best Aussie film to come out of 2006. It's the Australian version of Kids.
22
Kids 1995,  NC-17)
Kids
Disturbing yet sadly spot on in some cases. Deals with the AIDS issue in a confronting format. A much more gritter version of Thirteen. Only problem with it is it drags in some moments and confronts a little too hard at times.
23
Saved! 2003,  PG-13)
Saved!
Okay so I'm a little biased on this rating but I LOVED this movie. I've made friends watch it with mixed reactions. The cast are fabulous especial kudous goes to Eva Amuri for her role as the bad girl. The script is quotable and my only dig at the movie was the ending was a little wishy washy and I know she is a pop star but can Mandy Moore for once stand on her acting feet and just act. We don't need to see her sing in EVERY movie she makes. Prove yourself girl. Other than that, SEE THIS MOVIE...
24
Sugar 2004,  R)
Sugar
A bit messy in parts, I loved this just to see Brendan play it out in a gay role. If your a fan of Brendan or of gay cinema than I recomend a viewing however, if not, I doubt this will appeal...
25
Buffy the Vampire Slayer 1992,  PG-13)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Where it all began... It's hard to see Kristy when so familar with Sarah now but I remember when Sarah first graced our screens, I found it that way but visa versa. Great dark teen comedy and lets face it, I love a teen comedy.
26
Bubble Boy 2001,  PG-13)
Bubble Boy
True idiotic comedy at it's best. I love it...
27
Dude, Where's My Car? 2000,  PG-13)
Dude, Where's My Car?
Idiotic but a total classic...
28
Bring It On 2000,  PG-13)
Bring It On
Brrr... It's cold in here...

Total quotable teen classic...
29
Cruel Intentions 1999,  R)
Cruel Intentions
Brilliant black comedy... And you just gotta love "the Gregster"...
30
Beautiful Thing 1996,  R)
Beautiful Thing
Gay cinema classic... I grew up and came out on this film...
31
Get Real 1998,  R)
Get Real
Another gay classic I grew up with and one of my prefered gay love tales of all. Brilliant feel good ending...
32
Prozac Nation 2005,  R)
Prozac Nation
Two thumbs up, fine holiday fun...
33
The Hot Chick 2002,  PG-13)
The Hot Chick
Not the greatest in storylines but for a Rob Schneider, this is one of his best. Anna Farris is brilliantly clueless which is a role she plays best. Look out for the black asian girl. Her mum's lines steal the show.
34
Foxfire 1996,  R)
Foxfire
The only Angelina movie I have ever liked and this flick I love. The chicks answer to Stand By Me.
35
Splendor 1999,  R)
Splendor
Much in the vein of "Threesome", Gregg seems to have pulled away from his usual shock tactics with this one and gone a little more easy viewing, but at the same time, it has Gregg's usual sureal settings...
36
Not Another Teen Movie 2001,  R)
Not Another Teen Movie
Rips through all the best teen flicks, from She's all that, American Pie and Cruel Intentions right back to the Breakfast club and the classics of the 80's. If you know those films, you should see this one..
37
Care Bears Movie II: A New Generation 2003,  G)
Care Bears Movie II: A New Generation
Better than the first one. This was and still sadly, a favourite of mine, but then again anything 80's annimation rocked.
38
Elephant 2003,  R)
Elephant
Brilliant... Haunting but brilliant. The ending is something I was prepared for but not in the way it was shown. I hadn't really been a fan of Van Sant's work until now. Like Wolf Creek was a litle to haunting in the vein of the real life backpacker murders, this rings out very close to the columbine shootings.
39
Freeway 1996,  R)
Freeway
Messed up and brilliant. The adult version of "hoodwinked". Takes the red riding hood tale to a whole new level. The writting, the acting, the casting and the violence is all spot on.
40
The Hitcher 2007,  R)
The Hitcher
Up there with The hills have eyes in brilliant remake history, this movie I can do nothing but highly recomend. One of the best "teen" themed thrillers since I Know What You Did Last Summer. Well acted and not lazy on the special effects.
