Fucking Classic. If you havent seen this epic movie then I dont want to know you. There's nothing better than watching a Drill Sergeant laying into the newbies. Before I forget..Female Snipers are the bees knees =P

I have never been a great fan of Tom Hanks but he was exceptional in this film. WWII Cpt. Miller and his select team go in search for Pvt. Ryan to bring him home to his mother. The Military felt it was necessary to bring home her last remaining child after three of her four children were Killed in Action. Lives are lost of course not all is a happy ending. However Pvt. Ryan is saved and owes his life to Cpt. Miller etc etc...Excellent film. It deserved its 5 Oscars.

Stand outs were: Barry Pepper & Jeremy Davies.

Everything was perfect, especially the opening scenes!

I read a review that I strongly agreed with not long ago about the Top 3 war movies: FMJ, SPR & Apocalypse Now setting the standards for War Films.

Black Hawk Down took place in Somalia a classic case of No Man get Left Behind. Excellent Film.

A German submarine is boarded by disguised American submariners trying to capture their Enigma cipher machine.

Such an interesting War film. I've always had an eye for Subs. Great line up of actors.

Another great film on my favourite topic, the Vietnam War...

Alot of the people I have discussed this movie with have mixed feelings and such, but..who cares about their opinion (LOL)

More Drama than War. But it has it has surprising..bits

If you loved Troy, you'll love the story of the love affair between Helen & Paris in this film. Its beautiful to say the least. You all know Im not one for the lovey dovey flicks but this has history. And the kind of history I like..
