1
Magnolia 1999,  R)
Magnolia
One of the best movies ever made. The emotional core ofthe movie is something hardly ever seen on film nowadays. The complexity and interconnectivity of the script mirrors that of an Altman movie (a good Altman movie). All the characters are well written and even more well performed. The amount of talent in the movie is outstanding, and even more so that all the performances are terrific. The direction of the film is amazing and Anderson once again proves just what a terrific director he is. A movie that everyone should see, really.
2
Unforgiven 1992,  R)

One of the most amazing westerns ever to be made. Eastwood is fanatasic along with the rest of the cast. The script is outstanding. Everything about this movie makes it fantasic.

This movie is sheer brilliance. It's absolutely amazing. The study of human nature and what one will do to achieve his/her goals is tremendous. Great script, acting, direction and score.
8
The Pillow Book 1996,  NC-17)
The Pillow Book
A beautiful movie. Peter Greenaway is a talented directer and makes this movie look absoultely beautiful. Vivian Wu and Ewan McGregor sizzle on screen. Amazing movie.
9
King Kong 2005,  PG-13)
King Kong
Perfect movie, everything about it was pure genius. Peter Jackson, Naomi Watts, Adrien Brody, and Andy Serkis were all at the top of their games.
10
A Fistful of Dollars (Per un Pugno di Dollari) 1964,  R)
A Fistful of Dollars (Per un Pugno di Dollari)
My favorite dollars movie. It's what started the man with no name legacy and since it's a remake of Kurosawa's Yojimbo, you can't really go wrong with this movie.
11
Almost Famous 2000,  R)
12
Moulin Rouge! 2001,  PG-13)
Moulin Rouge!
One of the most moving and beautiful movies to EVER be made. It's so emotionally gripping and powerful that all one can do at the end is cry. Kidman and McGregor are beyond amazing, not to mention that the film is visual eye candy. But the reason the film is so powerful is because of the themes. Truth, beauty, freedom, love.
13
Ikiru (Doomed) (Living) (To Live) 1952,  PG)
Ikiru (Doomed) (Living) (To Live)
One of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen. With wonderful themes and a great message this one is everyone needs to see. Kurosawa's best film.
14
Yojimbo 1961,  Unrated)
Yojimbo
A great movie, and oddly enough was made into a western called "A Fistful of Dollars". Both are great. Kurosawa's direction is spectacular and Mifune, as always, is terrific.
15
Titanic (in 3D) 2012,  PG-13)
Titanic (in 3D)
One might bash it now, but in 1997 this was amazing.
16
The Rocky Horror Picture Show 1975,  R)
17
Hedwig and the Angry Inch 2001,  R)
Hedwig and the Angry Inch
I love this movie. I love the theme and the music. Mitchell is amazing, he writes and directs very well and is just way too damn gorgeous for his own good.
18
The Bridges of Madison County 1995,  PG-13)
The Bridges of Madison County
Great movie. It sounds like hell in a hand basket, Dirty Harry in a romance movie with Meryl Streep, but it's amazing. Once one gets past the adultry theme and sees it for being a passionate movie, it's great. Streep and Eastwood are phenominal in their roles. Though the framing story is pretty lame.
19
Little Miss Sunshine 2006,  R)
Little Miss Sunshine
What a charmingly wonderful movie. So well acted, written, and directed. It was just adorable. A perfect blend of laugh out loud funny and emotionally moving scenes. Half the time I was gasping and holding my breath for the characters. It was amazing. What a charming independent movie.
20
Memento 2000,  R)
Memento
Has to be one of the best independent films in the last twenty years. It's just a great film that is smart, well written, well acted, well directed, and great editing. Such a unique and individual concept.

Latter Days
I don't think I've loved a movie this much in a long, long time, so thank the Lord I saw this. Ya know it's such a simple but beautiful idea and it has such a wonderful message to it.

Truly everything that I believe in about God, the universe, and love is rolled into this movie. It's just such a wonderfully beautiful film.

Really one that everyone should see.
