Dirty Harry
Part police procedural and part horror film. Crafty veteran director Don Siegel wisely turns Andy Robinson's Scorpio into a borderline boogey man to offset Harry's callous disregard of certain laws.

It's like there's a nightmare world that only Harry can see. This world is aggressively attacking the real world and only Harry-who's prepared to cross certain boundries-can fight what's coming. The audience see's the threat as Harry sees it, (and how he sees it when he's not there is debatable-and part of the trick the film makers employ to make Harry sympathetic)but everyone else in the film can only see the effects without putting the dots together.

This technique gets used time and time again, from the horror film aspect (See Cruising and Cobra among many.) to the omnicient law agent. (Everything from Batman to Jack Bauer.)

Brad, you have some interesting titles, not commonly seen in the favorite lists. A couple I have not seen and have now added to my watch list. Cool list.
