My Favorite Movies

Despite it being a laugh-out-loud comedy, it still has a feel of Medieval England for most of the film. Some of the Python's best work, we see the epic adventure of King Arthur and his knights trying to find the elusive Holy Grail. Terry Gilliam's animations are incorporated into this movie much more effectively than ever before in any Monty Python sketches. Ni!

A beautiful heartwarming tale, with excellent animation and breathtaking backgrounds. I highly reccommend you watch it in Japanese with subtitles as the American voices ruin it.

One of my all-time favourite movies. The idea of living dinosaurs is great, I can't even be mad at the science because nobody actually knows if this is possible yet!

It sticks very closely to Frank Miller's graphic novels, in look, layout and style and it works very well. The casting is brilliant, the characters are well portrayed and the level of violence appropriately reflects the feel of Sin City.

Despite being a biologist, I like this film for its bright animations and nonstop biological humour. I want to believe there are self aware cells in my body. A fun movie with jokes for biologists and moviegoers alike.

Another excellent Mel Brooks movie. This is the one that got me hooked on his movies, and Cary Elwes! And he does do a convincing English accent...

A great fantasy story, Hellboy is probably one of the best comic-to-movie adaptations I have ever seen. The story lacks in places, but it makes up in comedy, fantasy violence and monsters.

A fantastic explosion-filled and silly action movie. I didn't even mind the romance in this! The character chemistry is amazing, no detail is overlooked. I felt it was a little rushed towards the end though, and the plot is frequently pushed aside to indulge in some glorious mindless violence.
Also includes my favourite movie quote of the year; "You know what this means? I'M BRINGING THE PIG!"

An absolute classic, full of hard-hitting action and violence. Plenty of testosterone flying around, and of course the usual love story.

A hilarious comedy, with a fantastic interpretation of the afterlife. It's nice to see humans as the pest for a change :)

As other raters have said, this movie has (almost) no dialogue for the first half hour and still captures your imagination.
Wall-E is actually a good character, he affects everyone he comes into contact with, the movie is a wonderful story of how one little robot saves the human race.
My only problem is how everyone on the "luxury" spaceship was American. But hey, it's still Disney, what do you expect?

Not just another Frankenstein movie...full of sex jokes, slapstick and that good old Mel Brooks casting :)

I love this film, it's so close to actual surburban life it's scary. The men are like children and of course the wives are in control of the entire street. As per usual, the arrival of strangers disrupts this suburban harmony...

The best Indiana Jones movie of the lot, there's mystery, fighting, gore and plenty of heads exploding. A classic, inimitable movie full of action.

Great if you like pirate movies with a lot of the old swash and buckle. I like the myth and fantasy in it as well. Pass the rum...

The best of the Resident Evil trilogy. Great action scenes, and a convicing plot. The battle with the scientist at the end is filled with suspense, but could be a little longer. The ending is a fantastic twist and I cannot wait for the 4th installment.
Plus, Milla is in her best outfit yet :)

As I have never played the games (I don't play on consoles) I found this a good horror zombie flick with a lot of surprises and suspense, And of course, lots of violence and gore and hot ladies in very small outfits :)

Absolute classic, a fun-filled adventure through time. And the larger-than-life characters add to the enjoyable stupidity of it. Party on dudes!

Killed by their evil robot duplicates, Bill and Ted have to bargain with Death to go and save their future. A fun journey through the afterlife, with some good interpretations and as good as the original movie.

A little too decade-relevant for today's kids, but a perfect movie for anyone who knows what being a young adult in the 80s is like. Heck, it's practically a documentary. Two young men are starting to launch their television career, but sticking it to the man in their own way, while also finding love.

Another take on the Van Helsing/Vampire battle, with elements from many other supernatural tales. A fun movie for all, including those into the supernatural lore.

A fun movie about time travel (of course), it's a classic and has had a huge influence on pop culture. However having seen all the other movies in the series I can't remember which storyline belongs to which movie...
Unless you have your head around time travel and alternate timelines, don't even try to understand it, just enjoy it!

A gory, twisting, psychological horror that follows Dr. Frankenstein's life, before and after he creates the monster. A gripping tale with many twists and turns. Perhaps not for everyone, but I enjoyed it.
