"Jaws" is so many things: a great summer flick, a tense and suspenseful horror film, a great action film, and a great adventure film all in one! My second favorite film of all time, it's time to go back in the water and enjoy "Jaws".
One of the most influential films of all time, and one of my absolute favorites, "Pulp Fiction" is just a great film with an awesome script, likable characters, great humor that's anything but subtle, and just great directing from Quentin Tarantino it's just all around a great movie, and now that it's coming back on Blu-Ray, it's a perfect time to check it out.
Some will always argue that this film is the best in the series, but I personally liked Batman Returns more. Batman, however is still a very enjoyable film and my in my top favorite Tim Burton movies.
Tarantino's underrated film, "Jackie Brown" is in my opinion immensely more entertaining than "Reservoir Dogs" and even "Kill Bill", though some may find it has way too many characters and that it goes very slowly, I don't feel this way and I can tell you that even though the film is two and a half hours, it's well worth watching when you have some time, whether or not you like Tarantino or not. Great film, but expect to be sitting a while.
What can I say that everyone else hasn't? So I'll just say, If you've never seen this film, why are you reading this review instead of watching it right now?
A gloriously colorful horror film and that color shows off the film's highlight: gore. Among the bloodshed, "Suspiria" also has a great creepy score by Director Dario Argento's own band "Goblin" which plays along with the film brilliantly and provides real tension. If I have one complaint, it would be the acting, but this may just be the english dubbing. Overall, I put this film in my top 20 horror films of all time, it's just that great a film. Check it out
THE greatest zombie film of all time! You need to see the original "Dawn of the Dead" with its great message about commercialism and some great gore effects by Tom Savini.
A modern classic of the horror genre, it may have been cheapened thanks to some knockoffs, but "Scream" still keeps on its own two legs, thanks to some brilliant work between Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson.
