Friday the 13th - The Final Chapter Friday the 13th - The Final Chapter R
My second favorite of the Friday sequels (I know, I know...). It has that rare thing going for a horror film: likeable characters that we actually feel for when they bite it. Although it was obviously not the 'Final Chapter', that's to be expected from a profitable franchise (James Bond does it too folks...) Overall, great sequel that is a great end to one storyline and the beginning of the Tommy Jarvis storyline. Recommended.
Friday the 13th Part 3 Friday the 13th Part 3 R
'Friday 3D' is both a disappointment and an enjoyable watch. Confused? Let me explain. It's not hard to figure it out, but the film works much better in 3D. Unfortunately, the theatrical version used glasses much like they do in today's theaters: the clear or sunglasses number. However, televisions cannot work the same so that's where the red and blue come from. Now that I've bored you with facts, let's continue the review. Friday 3's three-dimensional effects don't work on in 2D, which brings down the entertainment value (unless you find an eyeball on a string entertaining, which I have to admit I kinda do.) The few other low aspects are some, but not all, kills are sorta lame (the Tommy Chong look-a-like especially.) and the heroine is really bad (but then again, she didn't even want to do the movie anyway.) Aside from all that negativity, there are some aspects I find fun. As I said, not all the kills are lame in fact, one has the serendipity of giving Jason his famous mask. Also, even though I said it's not as good as it is in 3D, I'm happy with the red and blue glasses. It gives me a fun aspect to watching a film whether it be Friday the 13th or a classic William Castle film. Overall, I feel that's all 'Friday 3D' is: a fun cheesy gimmicky film, and I do recommend it for casual fans of horror, and fanatics of horror (but I don't really need to tell them do I?). You'll both enjoy a fun film. Also try to find the 3D version.

Chris' Favorite Movies

Psycho Psycho R
A perfect film and one of Hitchcock's best and my favorite film of all time, Psycho just works for me.
Jaws Jaws PG
"Jaws" is so many things: a great summer flick, a tense and suspenseful horror film, a great action film, and a great adventure film all in one! My second favorite film of all time, it's time to go back in the water and enjoy "Jaws".
