Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope 1977,  PG)
Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope
A classic that fully deserves its title. While it is technically a sci-fi adventure, it also has aspects of a comedy and romance, which I love.
2
The Breakfast Club 1985,  R)
The Breakfast Club
There are really no words to describe this movie. It's the epitome of those classic '80s teen movies that everyone has to see at least once in their lifetime.

I think it's much more than that, though. Through all the cheesy dialogue and questionable circumstances, an element of truth about life shines through. It's one of those great movies that's meaningful, yet not so depressing that you can't watch it multiple times.
3
Newsies 1992,  PG)
Newsies
What can one say about Newsies, other than that there's a reason it's a cult classic? The singing, the dancing, the acting, the teenage boys with New York accents... it's all great.
4
The Client 1994,  PG-13)
The Client
I've wanted to see Brad's debut for quite a while now, and I finally got the chance. As with all his other movies, it was amazing. I loved the characters, the story, and the suspense.
5
Back to the Future 1985,  PG)
Back to the Future
One of the few movies I can watch over and over again, because it's light, yet not stupid. Again, I love the adventure, sci-fi, comedy, and romance combination. Besides, who doesn't love the '80s or the '50s?
6
National Treasure 2004,  PG)
National Treasure
Another of those movies I can watch over and over again without getting tired of it. It actually made me get slightly interested in American history, which is quite a feat.
7
Peter Pan 2003,  PG)
Peter Pan
In my personal opinion, this is the best, most heartfelt adaptation of the Peter Pan story. The fairy dance scene is my favorite romantic scene of all time, and the bittersweet ending makes me cry every time.
8
Apt Pupil 1998,  R)
Apt Pupil
Dark, intriguing, amazing, and nowhere near as widely-known as it should be. Brad Renfro and Ian McKellen both do excellent acting jobs.
9
A Painted House 2003,  Unrated)
A Painted House
This movie is absolutely amazing. The acting is great (I was extremely impressed with Logan Lerman) and the story is touching. I never thought I'd say this about a movie about cotton farmers, but I loved it.
10
Footloose 1984,  PG)
11
10th and Wolf 2006,  R)
10th and Wolf
I'm not usually a fan of mobster movies, as they're generally so predictable, and even though 10th & Wolf's plot wasn't all that original, the characters and the acting made me fall in love with it the first time I saw it, even though almost everybody else hates it. Well, I have a penchant for liking "bad" movies.

The Cure
I absolutely love this movie. It's amazingly well-acted with a sweet, touching story. The two boys are great... they reflect the spirit of youth and friendship almost perfectly.
27
Telling Lies In America 1997,  PG-13)
Telling Lies In America
I don't have much to say about this movie, other than I love it. Brad Renfro and Kevin Bacon both do amazing acting jobs. It's easy to fall in love with Karchy Jonas. Great soundtrack, too.

Death at a Funeral 2007,  R)
Death at a Funeral
This is the funniest movie I've ever seen. It had me in hysterics for almost five straight minutes, and I'm not usually a person to laugh out loud during movies. Alan Tudyk made the movie.
