Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope
The one that started it all. Still awesome and impressive. And still total fun.
3
Enchanted 2007,  PG)
Enchanted
Exceeded even my high expectations. It was such a joy to see hand drawn animation back on the big screen. The story is sweet, funny and very moving. The songs are superb. A great crowd pleaser. It truly earns the title of Enchnated as that's what it is.
4
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring 2001,  PG-13)
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
A great film. Everything I could have asked for, from the book. A wonderful start to the trilogy
5
Moulin Rouge! 2001,  PG-13)
Moulin Rouge!
Only Baz could reinterpret the musical genre this way. Absolutely awesome
6
Jurassic Park 1993,  PG-13)
Jurassic Park
A wonderful adventure film, once the action starts it doesn't let up. The effects are truly amazing. And after every viewing I can't shake the damn theme from by head.
7
The Day After Tomorrow 2004,  PG-13)
The Day After Tomorrow
Even though it's far fetched, still one of the best disaster movies out there, even with all the cliches.
8
Transformers 2007,  PG-13)
Transformers
Way better than anticipated, a future contender for classic status. Has all the trademarks of a great blockbuster. And there hasn't been one of them for years.
9
The Phantom of the Opera 2005,  PG-13)
The Phantom of the Opera
A lavish presentation of Lloyd Webber's most famous musical. The only way that I would ever get to see it and I really, really enjoyed. Easy to get swept away in the gothic style romance.
10
The 24th Day 2004,  R)
The 24th Day

A great dark and moody pic - for Disney anyway. The last great Disney musical
12
The Black Cauldron 1985,  PG)
The Black Cauldron
Another gem that Disney tried to make us forget about. It is quite good, just different to Disney's normal fare. Would be more accepted these days thanks to LOTR.
13
Bridge to Terabithia 2007,  PG)
Bridge to Terabithia
A very moving story. A totally unexpected surprise of a movie. Don't let the trailer trick you, this movie is not a fantasy epic. Highly recommended.
