Bobby Hobbs (bhobbs1985)

This movie seemed a bit like this generations, 'Free Willy', I caught a lot of the same ideas and overall family friendly feel in it. Of course, this movie was inspired by a true story, so not sure what all was legit and what all was added drama but the overall conclusion was it was a decent-family friend feel with a great message to be told.

Dolphin Tale focuses on a rescued Dolphin befriended by a boy who discovers it wrapped up in a net on the beach. The boy, struggling with his own problems in life, finds solitude in his time with the Dolphin forming a bond between them that helps them both continue on and keep fighting the hardships of life thrust in their direction.

An attempt at a bionic tale (which obviously eventually works) is the core of the movie, the message, is the struggle for those with handicaps and over-coming odds in life no matter what they are. I thought the message for children especially, those with disabilities, who can find some type of encouragement and hope through this film was amazing and that's what won me over in a family-friendly film that typically wouldn't catch my mind or time.

It wasn't the greatest acting, wasn't the greatest movie, in fact as a movie by itself I am not sure it stands up to many others very well but the overall but the overall message and reality behind the story is what really stood out to me. It's a sloppy movie for a true movie critic, but, its inspiration and a feel good film, especially for children. So for that, it's not for all, but is for some...average on my rating scale...

This movie is absolute amazing. Justin Timberlake has totally transferred from his singer reputation to a recognized actor in my opinion by this film alone. I've never gave him a ton of credit in the past and it's hard for me to accept people who are outside of actor roles initially but he won me over in this flick.

In a world where technology is advancing at a quicker pace than it ever has before things like immortality is something that can realistically be brought to question. The idea of 'aging' becoming something of the past is already an investigation going on with Governments and scientists around the world. 'Age' has already been declared a curable disease; it's just a matter of when we reach that point in time, and what humanity will decide to do with it.

This movie tackles that issue by declaring that 'time' becomes the new currency in our economy and that after 25-years old we all quit aging and become potentially immortal. Only through the absence of our 1 year time limit on our arms do we 'time out' off the earth. Moral issues are tackled as we see the obvious reality of such an issue in the future - the poor die young, the rich live forever.

Without spoiling anything in the movie I cannot properly review it. I can say however, humanity is meant to die, and with the elimination of death for some others would be part of mass suffering.

This movie does awesome in tackling moral issues while also remaining just an action-pack fun filled movie with a touch of comedy thrown in as well. It's a look at a futuristic sci-fi world that in all honesty could one day be a reality. It shows the power of technology but even more scary the underlying fact that it all ends up in the hands of a greedy humanity and what they will do with it.

This was honestly one of my favorite movies that I've watched in a long time and hands down it is the BEST movie of 2011 in my opinion! Truly under rated in the Box Office and I'd recommend everyone watch it!
