This movie just got better and better! While it seems simple, the potentials really make you think and realize that it is more complex than it first seems. You really have to pay attention to what is happening, not just to integrate the scenario, but to get at all the movie is attempting to portray about human relationship, about Truth and the nature of manipulation, about wonder and sacrifice. An amazing movie remeniscient of an Oscar Wilde novel.

WOW!!!! This was much better than I thought!! Don't be scared away from watching this film! It is TRULY a MUST-SEE movie! Amazing performance, a deep, thoughtful and well made look at our american culture.

This is a fairy tale not for young children. Instead it is a dark, wonderful and tragic adult fairytale paralleling the imagination of a young girl with a dark reality. Beautifully crafted!!! Somewhat 'Burton-esque' at times.

Arrrrr, where's the rum!? :) Seen this movie 3x in theatres now :)

WOW! The most richly ornate, colourful and glittering movie I have EVER SEEN! AMAZING! The dancing, music, singing and filming are superb. The costume and sets are BEAUTIFUL!! It is a long romantic overdrama with much eye candy. I'm convinced Aishwarya is the most beautiful woman in the world! The overdrama tempts me to make this 41/2 stars but, it also adds to its charm! So passionate! I am amazed at the care for each and every shot taken and the aesthetic richness is like my dreams, so this goes fully 5 stars!

NOT a sleeper movie! :) An enchanting true and real romance and inspiring story of a strong woman with her blessings and tradgedies. Ewan and Renee are absolutely CHARMING!!!

*SIGH!!* This movie was EXCEPTIONAL! :D 2 romances in one! GREAT actors in a wonderful setting for fate and love to shine :) Some of these scenes really made me tear up and SWOON! :D

A great mystery that will keep you guessing and with the gorgeous Audrey nonetheless!!

Absolutely EXCELLENT! A psychoanalytical taming of the shrew with an amazing cast! Tippi is an absolute vixon at playing a woman who is tormented by an unconscious past, acting out in many antisocial ways. FABULOUS! Sean Connery does an amazing job as the man who falls in love with her and will do what he can to help her deal with her neurosis and get out of trouble with the law.
An excellent story and script, well fimed and executed in every way! the special features are also fabulous! :D

An excellent plot! :) Both Lemon and McLaine shine out wonderfully in this sometimes quirky film that is actually steeped in adultery. Two genuine personalities are stamped down by dominating, demoralizing, womanizing buisnessmen at a large firm. Out of the well drawn plot of downward twists blossoms a charming little romance. A must see, it is really that good! :)

One of the most classic of film noir movies i have seen!! :) Quite entertaining!

Excellent! :D An awesome cast and an excellent story! :) Robert Downey Jr. is awesome at playing Chaplin. While this is a great movie based on Chaplin's autobiography, I felt it was missing some of the deeper parts of Chaplin. He was a producer and director of his own films as well! While it is clear he is more than his slapstick character, I am intruiged at the purposes behind his ideas for his films which I felt this film only touched on briefly. But, I will guess I will have to watch his films to get more of an insight into that.

Jack Nicholson is excellent in this 30s style murder mystery. Some great lines, a demure and classy lead lady and a plot that thickens.

A bit overly dramatic plotwise but there were times I could not look away for fear of missing something. Classic b&w with some REALLY well filmed scenes that will stay in your mind.

My favourite story of all time!!! :D

Wow! What a diverse, original and empathetic piece of work! I can see how this is not for everyone, but I certainly enjoyed how it mixed genres, made you wonder, had a fictional climax that kept you thrilled and still remained touching in its realistic side of subject matter.

A modern high school film noir style mystery!!! LOVED IT! :)

Despite the fact that this looks like my boyfriend's movie.... (the one he was planning on making the year this one was filmed and he lives in Toronto where this movie was filmed out of ... ) I liked this film. Perhaps it was merely conincedance that two movies had the same idea for a main plot. Regardless, this movie was nominated for best, most original, screen play at the oscars!!
I have to say that it was well written, well acted and well made in every way. I love this movie...

This has become one of my favourite movies! It is an unrequited love story based on Dovsteovsky's "White Night". Very attractive leads with so much talent! Beautiful singing and music set amidst a spectacular set! Every scene is ripe with atmosphere and stunning parisian style, emo, and glowing night scenes. Very romantic and tragic love story, definately worth seeing!!

LOVED this movie!

Wow! This movie was such a wonderful exploration of dealing with grief! So touching. I highly recommend it, because we all have to deal with grief at some point.
The blend of comedy with grief may seem odd, but it was this characters way of being able to communicate through grief, so though it may seem that Adam Sandler is not being true to the character, that is not the case. Have you never laughed when you should cry because something is so incredulous?
People who think that this movie is not congruent should come back to this movie later on and see if they feel the same way. Tell me a movie that has done better at showing the disabling affects of grief in a way that is not overbearingly depressive and yet still real.

One of the most powerful movies i have ever seen. A story that is commentary on our western society (set in the 50s which only makes it more extreme).
A FANTASTIC FILM! This movie stuck with me longer than any movie has. People either love it or hate it because it hits too close to home for people and they don't know what to do with that!

Saw this in 3D and it was AMAZING! One of the best movies i have ever seen! YOU MUST go see this in 3D or at least on the big screen. It is WONDERFUL! :) EVERYONE should see this movie, it has an important message that we always seem to forget, how intimately connected we are to the earth and how we should honour and respect that. It portrays issues around racism, war, and human advancement. A very thoughtful movie. I never get tired of this storyline! :)

It is a fantastically created film. I can't imagine the artistry and the amount of hours of work put into this to make it look SO GOOD! Awesome! I bet this will bring in the Oscars this year.

Oh my GOD!! I HATE THIS MOVIE!!! Because it made me cry SO MUCH!! This woman is SO MUCH like me it is SCARY!!!!
This will permanantly be in my FAVOURITE MOVIES list....

fantastic and inspiring to me because some of if was filmed in my hometown, so i am proud. some of the scenes are from places i have frequented almost everyday. in fact, i may have been there while they were filming it. why don't i just go into film and make movies like this?

Excellent writing in this film :) and Sherlock Holmes has never been so sexy. I was pleasantly surprised at how much i enjoyed this because the preview gave me the impression it wouldn't be that great.

I admit, there were times that my attention wandered but i was always brought right back by that dashing Sherlock Holmes! Robert Downey Jr truly makes this film. His character here reminds me a bit of HOUSE, whom I adore.

An excellent comment on weapons with an imaginative and creative spin. Somewhat unrealistic to a certain degree but definitely entertaining, thought-provoking and creative with some excellent old tunes! :)

this was so funny! Gritty as most Rodrigues films, a mexican 007. so fun! But, Lohan was the worst thing about this film, she just acted like herself and her character in the end was rediculous.

Wow! I thought this was one thing and it turned out to be another!
Starts out like it could be The Nun's Story, then becomes very much like an Alfred Hitchcock with some The King & I thrown in. :) I LOVED IT! :D

I just LOVED This movie!!! :D I loved how it was done just like those classic great kids movies I watched growing up like: The Goonies and The Last Starfighter. I think the only thing missing was that each kid's personality could have been a little more defined with some more character driven writing and acting, but it was still well done! :)

Was pleasantly surprised by this movie.I didn't really expect much, but found it to be very moving and heartbreaking. The characters are very well developed and the story realistic. The music was nominated for an oscar and i can see why! Now i want the soundtrack and i don't much listen to Country!
