Definitely not the best movie ever, and maybe a bit cheesy. When it comes to movies based on Arthurian lore, this would have to be one of my favourites. It includes Queen Mab which is a first. Plus it has the talented Helena Bonham Carter and Miranda Richardson that alone makes it worth watching.

Oh and young Merlin is kind of cute.

I love Helena Bonham-Carter, Carey Elwes, costume dramas/historical based films so of course I loved this movie. Keep in mind though, it is only *based* on true history, it has been romanticized and is not actually historically accurate.

Another one of my favourite childhood movies. Obviously it's not historically accurate, it is a children's film. When it was made it was following the possibility of Anastasia escaping, which at that point had yet to be proven false. It's on par with many classic Disney films in my opinion. It's a really charming film, with great characters and music.
