I am speechless. Anyone who sees this move knows what i'm talking about, don't you Brendan? But I think this is probably the most 'serious' movie i hav on my faverates! Micheal Cera and J.K. Simmions always deliver. But Ellen Page (fellow Canadian) who I'm amazed i have not heard of yet blew me away. SEE IT OR DIE!!!!!!!!!! |

Pineapple Express 2008, R)
Brandon has been saying this for years "Asians!" Let me just say; I have never really known what "on the edge of your seat" really ment until now! This movie is packed with action, full of suspense and triger happy! but that's not to say it's not funny because it is gut-busting (and not just Red's gut)! Infact this film is now offically my faverate Apatowian picture!!! That is saying something! My close-secound faverate: Superbad was also writen by Rogan and Goldberg, stirking gold twice is no coincidence! Plus an awesome cast: Seth, James, Bill Hader are all great as always! My faverate preformance was Danny McBride in his first worthy roll scine Hot Rod, infact I think i like his preformance in this better! I liked how they made the action seem real in that people didn't die right after being shot, however Red would not die! I was not really familure with David Gordon Green, but he is a great Directer and made this the most artful of these films! They say they might make a Pineapple Express 2. I don't know how I feel about that. On one hand this is the most sequal friendly Judd Apatow film there is! One the other hand this film did wrap up nearly everything up with finality (except the plot line between Dale and his girlfriend) plus like I said this was my faverate Apatow and I don't want them to ruin it! We'll just have to wait and see! So until next time; "F**K THE POLICE!!!" |

Iron Man 2008, PG-13)
Dear god what can I say? This was spot on! I was like a kid in a candy store! I had a smile on my face the whole scene were he is breaking free from the terrorist and we get to see the first suit in use! Downey Jr. understands this role completly and he hits every beat! It is no secret that Iorn Man is my favorate superhero of all time and to see them not screw this up was a real treat! I like the nods to the comic fans (e.g. Rhodey looking at Tony's armor and saying "next time" and the line "just call use S.H.E.I.L.D). I thought that the romance between Pepper and Tony was a bit too ovious and not as subtle and flurty as in the comics. The finale fight scene wasn't as bad as every one says. In fact it seemed just like the fights in the comics! And who needs a big in-your-face epic showdown? Iron Man is above that. Stane himself was a better bad guy than the Iron Monger, but what I didn't like was the Nick Fury scene after the credits |

No Country for Old Men 2007, R)
This film is quite incredable espically for the type of film it is. The violence is exacuted beautifully however it is even more effective when they cut the scene before the killing starts (leaves it to the imaganation). Javier's character is right up there with the great movie villans. He keeps you asking wether or not he has a conious. Tommy Lee Jones gives the preformance of his lifetime. I was pleased with how little diolouge there was in this movie it added to the suspence and forced us to pay attention to the actors' physical preformances. That being said the diolouge was great! I love the exchange between the casher and him and the line "That depends, did you see me?". Great script, I have to see Coen brother movies now. If you asked me wether or not to watch this I would say "Go see it! Javier Bar-dammit! |

Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story 2007, R)
Jack Black plays Paul Macartny!!! lol!! This movie is halarious and ka-blamo! Less nudity would be nice but it was to funny to dock too many marks for that. It has so many of my faverate comedians and too many funny quotes for one reveiw! If you like Saturday Night Live or anything that Judd Apatow has done check this movie out!!! "Take my hand! You think idon't know wahat that means? You know who has hands? The Devil!" |
